Myers Leonard can strengthen Blazer defense with long arms, shot blocking, and fresh energy. The lack of team defense that was evident in the 4 game losing streak can be corrected by the hustle and swatting moves of Myers, especially in the 3rd quarter when the Blazers have allowed too many points. The record shows that points scored against the Blazers to be higher when Myers is on the bench. The Blazers should try the big crew, with Myers and 3 other big men and Damien to limit 3rd (and 4th) quarter scoring and improve rebounding. Long arms and quick hands make for intimidating defense. And Myers should aim to take 6-8 shots per game because he is an excellent shot. Let's try playing Myers for at least 12 min/game, play stronger defense, and hold down high scoring.
We have a 15th spot open; maybe we could sign that big Korean we used to have (he was really big) and play five big men at once!
If we do the 4 long armed defenders with lillard gambit, they could be called something like "The Octopus and Damian Lillard" or maybe "The Cthulhu and all-star Damian Lillard " or something. Still working on it.
If Gary Payton was the glove, then Meyers Leonard is "the sieve." I like that better than Nards to tell you the truth.
