Hakeem, anyone? I always saw his moves as more graceful than the average center, and I remember him nailing a three against us in a blowout. :ghoti:

Rasheed Wallace was stretching defenses long before Meyers ever touched a basketball..

This is why I fucking hate Greg Oden. It's been pretty damn good to Dame. He came and got a 100 MM Adidas contract. Looks like that young, rich, Black man is doing fine "assimilating into the culture".

    Oh BTW FUCK ODEN.

That's worth nothing, really, in this conversation. It doesn't change anything. In response to the concept of ML being the first "power center", KG was the first. As for the measurements..... KG was younger than Meyers at the time of their respective pre-drafts, and KG was still growing. He ended up about 7'1", but refused that, and often refused to be re-measured. He did not want to be considered a 7-footer.

Wait, wouldn't C-Webb or Shawn Kemp be the first "Power-Centers" ?

Yall took power center to literally it was a joke based off someone calling him a "4.5" haha. I've never heard that term used before.

I'm not declaring who's first. I was simply pointing out KG, to debunk Meyers as the first. I'm sure if we looked into it, there are many. Though, I'm not sold on either of the two you listed as power-centers. They are power forwards.

Here's a statistical fact to ponder... the % of men who grow significantly taller after their 18th birthday is lower single digits. Since KG was 19 when he did the pre-draft, those percentages plummet even lower... and he weighed 217 pounds! Nothing Center about that which is why he was primarily a SF for his early years beside PF Googs. What he didn't want to be considered was a Center because (unlike Meyers) he was always too skinny to bang with the biggest boys, and he was a total punk/fake tough guy. But thanks for sharing the pretend time nonsense with the board.

I've been too busy as of late so I finally watched the video. Myers seems to be maturing nicely. Jesus Mike Rice.... I'm really sick of him....

I'll admit I shed a few tears seeing that video of his brother coming to his practice... :smiley-bigcry: My cousin is Afghanistan as we speak...

Power Center = PC = Politically Correct. Sounds about right for Leonard's clean cut image.

As a vet, I wish him a safe tour. That's a tough assignment.
