And BTW...I don't think the board is overly negative right now. I think some fans feel they can still come back and win the series, and some fans who feel it is going to be a very big challenge to come back and win. I see nothing wrong with that.
Did the rangers come back from series trailing 2 to 0 vs washington and 3 to 1 against Pittsburgh. What were those %? Im trying to give motivation and all I hear back is..well history tells us that....or you cant compare this to that...guess what...all you stat freaks and betting men...1980 USA team. Enough said when it comes to against all odds and backs to the wall and all those superalitives (sp). When we get the series tied at two. We will revisit the odds. I never said you can't compare that to this. I said you cannot compare coming back in one game after the 2nd period to winning a series. You can compare this to the Caps series and the Pens series for sure. Similar situations. This is tougher because the Kings are much better than those teams, and this is the SCF. But yes you clearly can compare those situations Al. And again, of course they CAN win. No one is saying flat out they cannot win Al, that would be stupid. And the %'s are very much against us, but they are not 100% against us Al. It has happened 5 times in the SCF. It has happened 2 times out of 26 series for us. So YES it CAN happen Al, and no one is saying it can't and no one is saying we shouldn't believe it can happen, we should for sure.
I'll tel you one thing though, I would love to come back and win this series to shut idiots like Burnside up. Since before the series started he has given us no shot. Then he wrote a column after game 1 saying the same. Now after game 2 he new column is: Series looks out of reach after Rangers suffer another loss to comeback Kings. He has been a joke since the start. I would love to shut this idiot up.
At this point i hope my prediction of it going 6 comes true meaning the Rangers will even have a game 6.
Oh believe me i know theyre far from dead and am happy with how theyve played overall. Im looking forward to see if they can get one tomorrow.
We would all sign on for a game 6 right now. That would mean we are down 3-2 worst case with a chance to win at home and force a game 7. We'd all take that in a second I think.
