Lets do this. GAME 3 THREAD BABY - thoughts and predictions and whos going?!?

I thought the Rangers outplayed the Habs offensively but stunk it up defensively as well. Too much tending the BBQ with the reaching sticks instead of dropping the shoulder. A plethora of scoring chances (10? 15?) missed the net and MSL has to bury one of those doorstep goals. I think last night's loss will serve as more of a wakeup call to get back to basics and no Carcillo only helps the Rangers in this series.

 

The goal here is to win this series of course, but we also want to give ourselves the best chance possible to win the cup, as do the Habs.

From our POV the best chance possible is win game 4, and then finish this in 5 or worst case 6. We cannot allow this to go 7. Not only do I think it would be very difficult (unlikely IMO) for us to win a game 7 in Montreal on a Saturday night, I also think if we go 7 again we can kiss goodbye any real chance of actually winning the cup, which again is the main goal here. We want to see the WCF go 7 games, and we finish this in 5 or 6. That is our best hope I believe.

So take care of business Sunday night, and we'll go from there.
