No, you said all of them were fired. You apparently don't know what you're posting, or what you're saying in this thread. You are one amusing fellow.

    Re: QQQ

Yep they all were fired. LOL

Oneal wasn't traded in his prime and the GM didn't have a choice, so of course he wasn't fired. Chamberlain got the GM fired, which I proved proof.

Are you talking about Moses Malone? You mean because Houston was forced to deal him as well? That is entirely a "strawman argument" as well.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston_Rockets

The ownership asked to get rid of him because they couldn't afford him. A entirely different scenario.

But hey buddy, keep pulling those straws out. I love this thread for my daily supply of laughter! ;)

Portland traded Moses Malone and our GM wasn't fired over it.

The comment was "traded a superstar in their prime".

Aldridge isn't a superstar ... so what are you arguing for?

Who said I was? I was the one being called out for saying those GMs got fired for trading their superstar in their prime. I'm just defending what I said after SlyPokerDog obviously was talking from his asshole. :P

Now that we're in tank/rebuild mode (and it was mentioned in another thread), let's revisit this question. IF we get the Nets' pick this year, AND were to trade Aldridge for a package like one of the above, which would you go for?

I just don't see any team giving up the only sure fire #1 pick. I would do it if they agree.

I'm not assuming that they're giving up the #1 overall, just an unprotected top-5.

The only place LaMarcus Aldridge should be moved is to starting center - so we can use our highest draft pick on one of the stud power forwards in this draft. Keep one quality big man and add another. And, then is he's cheap enough, resign JJ Hickson to back them up. With the current lack of quality centers in the league, and the rate centers seem to get injured, you can never have too many quality bigs. We have one better than average, all-star quality big man. Rather than trade him, we should be adding to him.

The rest of the team just needs to play like they did last night, even when Aldridge is on the court. When Roy first went down, we saw the ball movement and player movement vastly improved, but now LA has become our new Roy.

Couldn't have said it better. You can't trade a proven big who plays at an All-Star level for secondary bigs, marginal PGs, and unknown draft picks. Instead of getting rid of LMA, the focus should be to find another All-NBA player who can compliment LMA's game and take some of the focus off of him late in games.

BNM has it down, put him at the C fulltime, draft a top PF, get JJ to backup the spots - and RUN.
