You already do through normal insurance premiums. We've already been through this. Your harming many because of a few. Very few.

    Surrender accepted!

Like I said several posts ago, you got conned into thinking 'drain the swamp' actually meant something. And now after 3.5 years there has been no swamp draining, and a whole mess of swamp filling, and you have no argument to present at all.

Climate change is here to stay and it's too late to halt it. Even if the entire world went 100% tomorrow, climate change is going to get worse. All we can do at this point is slow it down so it won't get more terrible than we are already facing. Tha habitability of the planet for humans is at stake.
The best choice to deal with it is the Democratic party. Republicans do not even believe in man made climate change while Democrats do believe in that.

    1000% agree

1000% disagree, as stated. Everything is a choice, nothing is off the table, because we have free will.

Now, if you had said, "The best choice that has a chance of happening above .001%...", then I might agree. At this point we're choosing between evil and stupid, neither of which is equipped to deal with the problem.

For the record, Nancy Pelosi is a multimillionaire San Francisco high society socialite. She is as far away from socialism as Trump is from the truth.

This is America and in spite of Trump, you're still free to disagree. Of course i think you're all wrong but then I also have the freedom to disagree.

I know it's been a while since I've been here, but, like, S2, are you okay? Yeah man, you have the freedom to disagree. I'm not here to dox you or anything. It's cool. No worries.

I'm curious to hear about why you think the Democrats are actually the best choice to prevent a global climate catastrophe, if you're up for talking it through. I'm just not seeing it at all.

I think the thought is one side seems to acknowledge it while the other doesn't really want to talk about it. So usually the side willing to talk about a problem is more likely to solve a problem then the group who doesn't want to talk about it.

I'm fine. There isn't a ghost of a chance of any kind of fire in Lake Oswego.
I see there as being two realistic choices, Republican or Democrat. Republicans don't believe in man made climate change and do no have it in their platform. Democrats do believe in man made climate change and do have it in their platform. Who you gonna choose? All this assumes that no third party stands a ghost of a chance which is rock solid true.

Don't even joke about your house burning down. If your home were threatened I'll bet every one of us would rush to your aid. At least I'd like to think that and am pretty certain that would happen.

There's simply no way to turn the ship of state around instantly. Trump has been trying to force it onto the rocks for 3.5 years now, and it will take 3.5 years just to get it back out to deeper waters. Biden's an experienced pilot, he's capable of doing that. Doing more than that in the coming term simply isn't possible unless some of the 40% of the public who support Trump suddenly see the light and demand action.

Maybe public opinion will move fast, as it did with gay marriage, but maybe not. It's a more complex issue, so easier for people to lie about.

I don't have to deal with you now, I respond to you whenever I feel like it, and don't when I don't.

But for the record, I hope your house doesn't burn down.

    @RR7

i appreciate the attempt at debating/discussing in a non insulting constructive manner today.
It may not change minds but it was a breath of fresh air vs the constant degradations we all partiscipate in to an extent.
Anyhow. Thank you for your time and patience today.
My trolling and mockery i will minimize as much as possible.

I see what you're saying. Here's my take:

There are two sides here, the left wing and the right wing. The left wing acknowledges the cause of climate change and wants to fix it, and the right wing does not.

Now, there are two sides of the right wing, Democrats and Republicans. The Democrats want to talk about hopefully fixing the symptoms of climate change via policy tweaks and future-tech, without addressing the root cause. And Republicans are purely in denial and are therefore unfit to participate in a solution. So, not the best stuff from either side of the ruling class on this one.

So, in my view, the only side that is talking about fixing climate change, instead of just seeking to apply a band-aid in 30 years, is the left-wing. They're the ones talking about it and are more likely to solve the problem. (Note: they are very unlikely to solve the problem. We're all doomed.)

Then why did so many people sit at home instead of go to work when they were cleared, so they can collect unemployment?

I know specific cases of this where instead of doing their part and getting out and working, they decided to milk it because they were making more. That, to me, is tangible evidence that succeeds your opinionated description you just gave.
