I hope a trade for Love is in the works. He can rebound and shoot better than Aminu and his defense is underrated. Get it done, Neil!
Unless CJ leaves in that deal we would have his $28.9million on the books next year along with CJ's ($27.6million) and Dame's ($29.8million) huge deals. That's a lot of money for the core that will not compete for a chamionship.
I think Aminu will be gone after this year due to Olshey going to make Stotts start Zach. It the Davis type thing when he didn't sign him. I don't trade him at deadline due he doesn't want to mess with anything while we in the playoffs hunt. But I like Aminu due to he hustle all the time and wouldn't mind signing on reasonable contract.
I don't care about Aminu's hustling, in 16/17 he shot 33% 3s, in 17/18 36% and now he shot's 34%, he benefits like no other Player that he is always left open by opponents (was that correct english? I don't know but i guess you know what i mean haha). He just sucks as a shooter, you will never be able to rely on him. I want a Power forward who can shot !!!!!!
Those aren’t horrible percentages but for fun, go look up his playoff percentages and post them here.
For fun, look at how much of an impact he is having in the Playoffs. Teams design their defense around leaving him even more open than usual because even if he hits a few more shots, it is going to result in a W for them and L for us because he is still not a threat to change a game.
What are they going do do the 20 plus games a year Love is hurt? At least you can count on Aminu. Love you can only count on one thing and that is he will miss a large part of the season.
He can't be in a lineup with Turner. And it's even worse when those two are combined with Leonard. Dame/CJ go against all five defenders in these scenarios with defenses not even bothering to feign attention at the other three. And last night was yet another instance of him failing to use his brain on defense at the end of a game. His offensive rebounding and hustling or whatever is great, but we need a better talent out there for 30 mpg. Fuck it, just go after Blake Griffin. I'm sure Detroit will let go of him for picks and salary dump.
Either way Aminu will be a free agent this summer. How much are you willing to pay him? You could always trade him and resign him for the Vets minimum.
35% over 4 seasons with the Blazers is not great but not terrible either for a good hustle & defensive player. Basically as good as Jokic' threes which are a sufficient threat for him. Aminu has the 3rd highest adjusted +/- on the Blazers over the past four seasons which IMO makes him the 3rd best player on the Blazers. The fact that he is so underrated makes him cheap too.
The proper response would be "Kevin Love could help develop Zach. Stotts certainly won't do it." Learn to post, then post.
