He has a lot of value, but the real question is what do we really need? Its pretty obvious we need inside presence and a player that can still demand a double. There aren't too many of those players out there right now. In fact, this is the first time in a long while that no player averaged 20+/10+
Maybe? Purely on paper I feel the talent you should be able to get for Aldridge plus Milsap is better than the center we can get with what we have to offer and Aldridge. I'm not saying Aldridge is a bad player AT ALL. I just think our team would have better overall talent if we moved Aldridge and added Milsap
No team will trade their starting center, unless it's a team like Phoenix that is in full rebuild mode. Gortat is the player I think that would be most available.
And... The Blazers were one of the worst at defending the paint. Ironically, Hickson was our last line of defense.
I think DeAndre Jordan coul dbe had for the right price if the Clips struggle in the playoffs. Also have to look at luxury tax teams. Not sure who those are though. If Indiana struggles would they be willing to deal Hibbert to us for #12 and assets?
I think you can still get DeAndre without trading Aldridge. I think Indiana will never trade Hibbert, IMO.
Right. Phoenix wants to rebuild by giving up a really good player from their starting lineup who's on a $7M contract.
They were willing to trade him this season for a first rounder and cap space. http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2...ix-suns-marcin-gortat-p-j-tucker-for-kendrick
Totally on Jordan. Trading Aldridge and us being able to get him are unrelated Indiana has some players to lock up soon, If they struggle in the playoffs, they might deal Hibbert.
I just think they trade Granger before they trade Hibbert. Granger will have some good value and they can find some other pieces to really get shit done.
Word was that it was almost done but the Thunder didn't want to give up another first rounder. They have a really bad contract in Frye they would be loving to get rid of and they aren't goo goo for Gortat like they should. Also, they will own two first rounders if the Lakers fail to make the playoffs and be sitting high on draft night with their own pick. There are many big men in this draft. Maybe not stars, but competent players. If you look at the entire future of Phoenix, trading Gortat wouldn't be as bad for them if they can get another first rounder (12,13), cap space (Portland could trade their pick only and give them a 8 million TE) and they can start their rebuild quickly.
I think anyone could be had. I don't think they (teams) are going to give away a C to anyone. natebishop had it right, IMO. You're going to get nothing (likely) for JJ, but you could get a really sweet deal for LMA and you'd have a pretty good player in JJ to play at PF. In fact, I think it's a pretty good rule that if you have two capable players at a position, you trade the better of the two. Because you'll get more in return. And Phoenix doesn't get cap space in that deal. They'd have taken on Perkins' longer and bigger contract.
