He did the Blazers a favor. LA was not the man to lead the Blazers to a championship, and at the very least subconsciously he new that. It sounds like Paul Allen told Neil he saw it the same way. In San Antonio Lamarcus wont have to be the leader, and maybe he'll get his.

He let the Blazers go in a new direction, and IMO it's exciting. Last year's team died with Wes' injury and they lost what made them fun to watch. Yeah Lamarcus could been the one to rally the team back and convince everyone to stay to make a big run. But LA proved he's not the guy to carry a team. The "it" factor does not reside in him. Time to move on.

When we play SA and beat them every time with LMA on the court, I would say justice is served.

    Can we still hate him?
Remember that @trailblazers fan who organized the #StayLA rally? Well, LaMarcus flew her to Dallas today to have dinner with him...

    (Via Facebook/JoAnna Wulffenstein):

I've held off posting anything, because I still can't quite believe it is real... But I'm here, I'm about to board, so it must be!

A few days ago, I sent an email requesting that a message be passed along to LaMarcus Aldridge. I wanted him to know how grateful we are for the last 9 years, and how Rip City feels about him. Well, he got the message. And I was sent one in return. It said:

"Hello Jo! I have great news! We sent your email to LaMarcus and he is so appreciative of you and all your support. He'd like to fly you to Dallas on Sunday to have dinner with him, as a thank you for everything you did!"

And now I am about to actually get on the plane. Is this real life?!? Wheels up for Dallas!!!! ‪#‎RipCity‬ feel the love!!

Dinner with LMA in Dallas does not really sound like a reward, y'know?

But, at least he's made one person in Portland happy. One down...

Why hate him? He told the organization he wanted out three years ago. Olshey said all but that in his presser when he said "we didn't inherit the happiest player 3 years ago"

They knew he did not want to be here

That's funny. He wasn't stringing the team along till the last possible minute. Olshey said he was gone? When did that happen?

No he was not. They knew three years ago that he wanted out. There was a chance he would re-sign, but we weren't his first option
