Makes me sick to my stomach.

Sending that letter is pretty crazy.

Sending that letter is pretty crazy.
That’s just it..... it is, but they don’t even realize it. That neighborhood thinks the people who made the signs in the window are. My mind is blown. Yesterday when I saw this I tweeted back to her.

Looks like a sign code violation to me:

2. Allowed Signage.

a. In any residential zone temporary signage shall be allowed for each and every lot. This signage shall not be restricted by content, but is usually and customarily used to advertise real estate sales, political or ideological positions, garage sales, home construction or remodeling, etc. Signage shall be allowed for each lot as follows:

i. Temporary signs not exceeding six square feet, provided the signs are erected not more than 90 days prior to an election and removed within five days following the election.

ii. One temporary sign not exceeding six square feet provided the sign is removed within 15 days from the sale, lease or rental of the property or within seven days of completion of any construction or remodeling. An additional sign of the same size may be erected if the property borders a second street and the signs are not visible simultaneously. On tracts of land of more than two acres in residential zones the sign area may be increased to 32 square feet. In no case shall the sign or signs be erected for more than 12 months.

Ooh, probable exception:

"Sign. A device, structure, or fixture which incorporates graphics, symbols, or written copy visible to the public, including those devices, structures or fixtures which are behind windows or building openings, which are intended to communicate information. Graphics, art work and seasonal decorations which do not relate to the use of a site or structure are not considered signs."

Hit me up. I'll help with the City.

That letter gave me Purge vibes. "Dear neighbor, we feel you've made your point and respectfully suggest you take it down now. We would also respectfully point out that our legal right to purge isn't far off and we'd like to feel that we're all on the same side going into that night. --Your neighbors."

It’s an interesting era in our history. My wife and I were recently out in rural Clackamas County (where the banjos are the loudest) visiting a childhood friend of hers. He is a retired cop and a very proud gay man. Flying proudly on his acreage was a YUGE flag that stated; “Trump In 2020. Fuck Your Feelings.” I’ve known the guy for 46 years and I was totally blown away. I guess he’s more of a cop than a gay man??? Either way, he was completely unapologetic but did note that his neighbors (with whom he is very friendly) have commented that they are grateful they can’t see the flag from their own property. Each to their own, but try as I might (and I really have tried to see both sides) I just don’t understand it. But he has the right to put make statement he chooses to make on his own property and I have to respect that. And too.............things have ALWAYS been different in Lake Oswego. It’s their world and the rest of us are just trashing it up.........

A Trump Supporter will try and take it mark my words.
Almost guaranteed to happen. But I have a dog that barks at pretty much everything, even people silently walking down the street a half block up from us. I still move reasonably fast (when I have to) for an old man, and my cuts with a Louisville Slugger still carry weight. Too........I have a “back up“ sign that reads “Flush The Turd November Third” (It tickled my wastewater career sensibilities). So I’m ready either way.......

My neighbor took my first BLM yard sign that we put out there in mid-June... so we came back with 4 (one in each of the 3 garden boxes, 1 in front bedroom window). How you like me now, you Fat Racist Heffer?

You know it was your neighbor? Did you confront them?

Yes, I know it was her. She came home at Beer:30 one Sunday morning, parked in her driveway, walked over to my house and stole my sign, went back to her house, set the alarm on her car, and closed the garage. I know this to be the case, because I have 3 cameras on the front of my house.

I'd thought about confronting her, but I figured I'd heavily bait the hook to try to get her to do it again. I moved my cameras to a more advantageous position, too, so that I could blast her all over social media, if she did. Confronting her would be fun, but pissing her off and trying to get her to do it again is even more fun!

Let us know if you catch her again
