I think the point is that Frank knows far more than you (or any of us) do about developing young players. And I'm not directing this at you specifically, but there's a reason he's been a head coach under a decently bright and knowledgeable front office for a few years, and we haven't.
When in doubt, play the kids. I'm willing to give them a longer leash since we are rebuilding. If we were a contender, I'd give Najera and Simmons a longer leash. Hassell just sucks overall.
Being mean to someone to their face generally makes me feel awful and I always regret it. There was a post where some guy's friends were egging him on and he was disrespectful to Frank and the coach just said something like "yeah" and walked away.
You can't just throw the 5 youngest Nets on the court. You have to do it in the system you want to run. Who would you march out instead of Najera, Simmons or Hassell with CDR out? Play and develop Yi out of position as a 3? How will that help? Move Carter to the 3, start Dooling and Harris in the backcourt? No 'youngsters' involved there, except maybe for the exception of Harris. -Petey
Here it is in black and white - right from the source. Link. If CDR were not injured, he would likely be starting by now.
If there's injuries, the retreads have to play. But if everyone is healthy, I want to see what the young kids have.
