Probably got married because there were problems and they were in denial about them.

Who the fuck knows man? Shit happens in life and we don't know this dude even though we've watched him and listened to him for 11 years and we know her even less. There are a million ways how this shit goes down and we don't have the first clue about which of those million ways it did.

I consider it good when I last more than 20 minutes. A year is a long time and I have other things to do.

My only interest in this story is that clearly a lot of shit is happening in his life and that can affect his mindset about how he handled his exit from Portland. With that said, he’s gone and this is his personal life. They need to leave the man alone.

I take it his marriage was already on the rocks when he asked for a trade? She wasn't gonna follow him even to Miami possibly?

By asking for a trade it was gonna put distance between Dame and his kids unless he took custody.

Knowing this and for the sake of his kids he would have been better off staying put and getting payed here. Family first!

Nah! I disagree with this wholeheartedly. If you've watched his IG or the Bucks welcome to him it's pretty fucking clear that when you're as rich as Dame the distance between Portland and Miami or Milwaukee is not something that can come in between you and the people you love most.

He should have done whatever was best for his career and like the rest of us helped his family adapt. I don't know about you but if an opportunity comes in my career I can't wait and my family hopefully moves with me. I assume that Dame has more options open to him than you or I have when relocating his vocation, so I wish the best for him and his family.

Dame never took sole care himself of the kids for an hours long period without help from family or nannies? As a parent myself that is shocking. Mom needs some help and at least some small brakes. I'd say any mother who had a partner so little involved would make that mom solely handle 90%+ of all the parenting duties.

Definitely lose some respect for Dame if this is true. A good Dad should be able to watch the kids for a few hours at the least a few times a month. If not then I wouldn't consider that man to be a fully contributing fully invested father. Sure he might contribute money, but being a good Dad is much more than how much money you bring in.

Of course Dame might have a different argument, we'll see what happens.

    Disagree.

Reading or posting public articles online, public court filings, discussing on this board, social media, etc is not invading their privacy. They are public figures just like Trump, Biden, LeBron, Jody Allen, Billups sexual assault, etc and open to public discussions, criticisms, or opinions. So everyone here is free to post whatever they want on this situation.

If I went to their house or school or work and started making statements or taking photos etc then yes that would be an invasion of privacy.

Posting whatever opinions, support, or criticisms on the situation here is fine and fair game. The Lillard's can choose to look at those reactions online or ignore them.

Whoa! We've already seen in this off season, that Dame can take all three children and, with the help of family and maybe employees care for his kids. If you weren't there for the IG videos in the Dominican Republic and other places this offseason that Dame had all three kids with him, at the very least you can look at the Milwaukee welcome and see that with help, Dame took care of all three of his kids.

That's not me saying Kay'la doesn't deserve full child support for all three of their kids. I just hope that even if that is the ruling that Dame has full access to his kids in their lives.

I work pretty close to the airport. Planes fly over pretty much all day. Every time I see a G-800 I wonder if Dame is in there?

Yes, this is absolutely a negotiation tactic coming from her lawyer, which is exactly why I said it "could get uglier".....unless Dame caves and gives her more money....which I bet he does. He does not want to hurt his brand.

You can be pretty sure the nanny was helping Mom as well.

Dude makes eff you money. Neither of them are changing diapers unless they're trying to make some kind of statement.

It's not just changing diapers. There are countless decisions involved in children and Ms. Lillard is claiming they all fell on her. She hired the nanny, found doctor and dentist, selected preschool, supervised activities, etc. without any assistance from him. Obviously I don't know how true that is.
