I did not read that, but it's good to know he at least made an offer. But apparently it wasn't enough. I would venture that CJ was part of it though.

Knowing Olshey, he didn't offer CJ. He offered GTJ.

    Knowing Olshey,....
Wait. None of us have a fucking clue what was offered or asked, and none of us really know Olshey.

There would be a faction of any fan base that would have @ Dame and harassed him if he had suggested Kidd as the head coach of whatever team/city it was. This is not unique to Portland. Lots of Women NBA fans out there if you haven't noticed, and they have.....opinions.

Ummm..... I played his conference backwards, which if you ever listened to Art Bell you would know that you can hear what someone is thinking if you play them backwards. Neil only offered GTJ and a 2nd for Harden, just so he could say he at least tried. He also said he's having a hard time finding a new barber in the pandemic and he spends most of his day posting on this forum under several different burner accounts.

This is interesting because someone else, in this thread I’m pretty sure, literally said he should know that this city wouldn’t accept it. (Paraphrasing somewhat.)

And Kidd has a job in LA…

And if you truly think this is not unique to Portland, uh, yeah nevermind.

You are right. Portland is known is for being a supremely diverse and tolerant city. Every other fan base would react exactly the same.

I am sure Kidd will never be employed again because of it… but wait… he is. Ah shucks. Ok nevermind.

Dame should know better than to put that kind of thing out in public. I'm going to assume it was a slip-up.

As for the coach he mentioned; yeah that was a terrible choice, IMO, as I've said.

    It isn't unique to Portland.

    From the LA blog:
Hiring Jason Kidd in spite of his criminal history would show how tone-deaf the Lakers really are

Despite a dark past that features legitimately criminal behavior, the Lakers are considering hiring Jason Kidd. An argument could be made that no team should.

JASON KIDD’S HIRING SHOWS NBA’S CONTINUED FAILURE ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Jason Kidd received another NBA coaching job, even with his long history of domestic violence. He is just one example of a systemic NBA failure.

I guess Dame is taking on Mediocre Man's Sgt. Schultz identity.

    Wise move, I'd say.

Yes, being intolerant of domestic abuse a good thing, and a lot of people/fan bases would react the same. Not sure what your point is? We should be more tolerant of domestic abuse? That's one hell of a hill to die on.

If you watched the Blazers this year on Comcast, you'll see one of their big sponsors is Dave Killer Bread and his whole message is second chance's work.

He would've had to. We were hard capped and the only way to make that deal work was to include C.J.

Kidd literally had to pull out of consideration because of backlash.

If it wasn’t unique to Portland HE WOULDNT HAVE BEEN HIRED IN LA PERIOD.

No where did I say we should be tolerant of domestic abuse, did I?
Please identify EXACTLY where I said that.
If you cannot, you can not-so-kindly go fuck yourself. I said this city is ESPECIALLY NOT tolerant, as evidenced by the fact Jason Kidd has a job in another city.
My point was, as if you can read, which it appears you cannot - is that some cities are more tolerant than others - once again, evidenced by the fact that Kidd is employed. Where you said this is not unique to Portland.

    Got it?

now don’t backhandedly accuse me of things again. And once again, go fuck yourself for trying to. Ban me idgaf. Dumbass
