Any big 20+ point blowout can be considered a fluke. The part where we won isn't a fluke, its surprising an improbable but not a fluke. I looked as Klays comments about it being a fluke as more of a way to pump himself and his team up then anything else, like John Law said in a previous post Klays post game comments were way more condescending.
The comment itself is not a big deal, but my understanding is that this is not the first of Klay's jackassery.
How ironic is it that the next game GS plays they pull their players too early in a game they had already "won" and Curry ended up having to come back in to finish it because they got to within 3?
Agreed, we might not beat them in a 7 games series but the Blazers are the last team they want to play in the 1st round.
And, I'd go out on a limb and bet it would be one of the highest rated series of the play offs. Those two play off match ups would be so fun to watch. I know I sound crazy because of what the schedule is like but... Marc Gasol is shut down and this is the time of year where age and minor dings start affecting older teams like the Mavs. I think we are going to end up the 5th seed and play the Clippers. I can't believe I'm saying this after the off season we had. Wow!
Could you imagine the atmosphere at the Rose Garden and at oracle? I think we could edge out those Oakland fans, one of the few fanbases that could.
I was at game 6 when we eliminated the Jazz back in 1999 (before we hit the buzz saw Spurs). The Jazz, who also had an amazing fan base back in the Salt Palace days, had been in the finals the year before against the Bulls and no one expected the Blazers to have a chance in that series. I have never been in a louder atmosphere than that. My ears were ringing for several hours after and I lost my voice for 2 days. It was the best!!!
