What if Damian makes the US team, and he misses Portland training camp. Blake is the primary point guard while he's gone. Everyone loves Blake, and then Lillard comes back, and he and Blake don't get along! DRAMA!!!! OHNO!:MARIS61:

He hasn't had to say it to anybody but the ones that left... so of course we see this... ya'll saying "Why don't he bond with the starters?" Maybe he's even more bonded with the starters than anyone else, but he hasn't had to say bye to them, so we don't know. It'd be tacky if he says "Well, I got all my brothers on this team, don't need him"... it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't. He's a loyal guy. This means nothing to if he's going to stay or go.

Or it could be a blessing in disguise. Blake can work himself into the rotation and learn the timing and sweet spots of the starters and bench.

Since he's going to start over Dame, that's a good thing...

...Man if Nate were still coach I'd be hating life.

If Nate was coach, Olshey dare not make that move.

Your post made me think about it, and I'm wondering if maybe the guys who have been here a long time are clicky? Wes, Nico, and LA have been playing together for quite a while, so it would make sense to me that they might be closer with each other, AND they probably already have friends in the area that they've connected with outside of basketball. So naturally Dame would connect with guys who haven't been here very long. They wouldn't know as many people in the city.

Also, it would make sense to me that he would connect with other point guards (Maynor, Mo, and Earl).
