Ok. But my history says this. I been told ya. Dame is still a legend. Damn near statue worthy. but I told ya already, his style is feast or famine. Too incredibly streaky. But I’m glad ya see this now. Now he’s a little older ya see the downside but it’s all good
and…??? Do you copy and paste this into every thread???? insufferable man. Do you not think every member here knows exactly how you feel and what you have told us? Come on man, be better.
The one thing that is certain is that his "Confidence" is Not Shot. He will never be a guy that crumbles to confidence issues. He is not a mental midget. Actually just the opposite. He feels he can still contribute on the court instead of getting off the court and getting healthy.
Before last night's game: they were 4 points better over the season when he's on the court: Interesting that the much-maligned Nurk easily leads here. (Also: Smith is +5 in 214 fewer minutes...) EDIT: updated to include last night's game: I don't quite understand why Cody's numbers are so bad. Every time I see him he seems to be doing something useful (usually while getting hurt), but he's got the worst +/- on the team. And contrast it with Nance, who plays a lot alongside him...
http://www.dougstats.com/ I like it because it's so old-school and basic. He's been doing it for literally decades.
I believe that Zeller accomplished that -18 entirely in the last two games so it could just be something freaky.
"Lillard's confidence is shot." Just think about that sentence, and how ludicrous it sounds if you said it 9 games ago. Something is clearly wrong with him. I wish he'd step away from the game and just work on whatever physical or mental thing is going on with him. Because it crushes me to watch him play the way he's playing.
Feel the same way, he has been great for this team the past years, if something is wrong lets get is fixed thru surgery or time odd, this is simply painful to watch and he needs to address this or he will lose significant respect IMO. Maybe I am wrong and its "just a slump" but to me it seems more serious than that, we see
I don't think his confidence is shot. He wouldn't be firing up the shots that he is, or the volume, if his confidence was shot. You want someone who's confidence was shot--it was Ben Simmons in the playoffs last season. That's what someone who's confidence on the offensive end is gone looks like. At this point, my view of the likeliest scenario is that the abdominal injury that he's been dealing with for years is starting to catch up to him. Yes, he clearly dealt with it fine before, but conditions can worsen plus he's getting older every second (just like all of us) and so playing with an injury doesn't strike me as a stable situation wherein its effects will never change.
A plot of 2021 3PT% vs Career from 2010. Green line is "normalcy" where 2021 and Career are equal. Gives an idea of Dame's slump vs others. Still looks like it could be pure variance. Just my luck that Carmello as having as good a year as Dame is having a bad year.
