I agree that Paul is a good defender, but anyone can be a good defender when the refs turn a blind eye. CP3 gets away with murder and always has. I really do hate it when a player gets injured, but as far as I'm concerned, you only get a free pass for so long, then karma gets its' turn at you. Karma caught up with Chris Paul.....and Doc Rivers. I suspect this will expose Rivers for the s****y coach that he really is. Now let's see how they deal with Dame.....good luck with that....
And a tough ho to roe. Seriously, though, we've seen two years in a row that Lillard has major problems against elite defensive PGs. Yes, he has improved since Memphis at finding ways to contribute, but he needs to figure out how to maintain his scoring and shooting efficiency in the face of that kind of pressure. He isn't the first star to be the focus of the other team's defense.
I don't think they're going to have the personnel to continue with the current defensive strategy.... but maybe Rivers is a stubborn guy. I don't know
The smart move isn't to try to overcome their defense by scoring, the smart move is to continue to do what we're doing. Pass the ball, find the wide open man, and hurt the Clips for their silly infatuation with stopping Dame.
Here's another way to look at it: Dame hasn't been fairing well most of the series, but the Clippers take no chances because they know Dame can go off. That is a huge sign of resepct. Even in struggles, they know he can go off... Not worried.
I was about to say that. LOL. DAME SUCKS. (Watch, I'll get an auto like from Tunchi.) I think he has a program set up to like any post where Dame and Suck are in the same sentence... paragraph... post. And then has other words that could be as well.
Relax. People should be able to have differing opinions and start dialogue about poor play/decision making without getting trashed by you white knights. Dame is my favorite NBA player, but sometimes the decisions he makes out there are suspect for an all-star; and yes he did play like garbage last night, but yes he is the reason why we are here. There is no shame in having a conversation about it. So chill out folks.
Uhhh... he did fine with his decisions. 6 assists for being doubled the entire night means he made good decisions. He probably had a half dozen good decisions that didn't come out on the box score cause he made a right read to a teammate. You can have a discussion about it, that's fine. But he's doing fine. He didn't shoot 33 shots and make 7... that would have been stupid. He took what the defense gave him. So the discussion is about something (in your case decisions) that frankly isn't there. Although, I will say... Sometimes he does rush his shot when he doesn't need to, and he has one or two "what?" plays. But everything else cancels it out. The guy is the leader, and he's showed it in more than just scoring... so I can handle those other plays that it seems others can't.
You know what I love? I can click on a bullshit thread like this and see that most of the Forum has already SCHOOLED the shit out of it. I don't have to do one thing but simply read, enjoy, and post some general rules about Offense. We're not soccer moms. We're optimists with high BBIQs. Thanks for handling my light work.
He missed one or two layups because he was worried about Jordan, and he had two shots blocked. Also he only had 2 turnovers.... and 6 assists.... so a 3-1 turnover ratio. So much for bad decision making....
