I drunkenly harassed some poor soul on adidas.com customer support chat a week ago about these shoes, she said that they have no plans to make them customizable like they did the DRose ones. Bitch.
I like his shoe, luckily I can get into the Adidas employee store, will wait for the buzz to go down on these and may grab a pair. $50 bucks after discount isn't a bad price.
looks hideous. Come on Adidas. The Rose line is sick, but they did Dame and JWall dirty with their signature shoes.
So wait...Dame said the "Boost Light" or whatever it is is the best shoe he's ever played in? But it's not "his" shoe? That's awkward.
I'm thinking they won't be on discount at the Employee store. The price point at $105 is fairly low for a signature shoe. I'm probably going to get a pair. At first I didn't really like them but then I saw them in the pics as people wearing them, the soles are nice with the contrasting colors.
Basketball shoes aren't made for adults anymore. That's why they have all those stupid colors. These kids (and I ref 250+ games per year) are all wearing bright ass funny looking kicks that don't even match their uniforms.
Pretty much this. I was at the Nike employee store a couple of weeks ago. Wow. I couldn't find but 3 pairs of shoes that I'd actually want to wear around town due to the whack hipster thick (Skater type, with air) sole styling, the huge high top 80's shoe, or the rainbow of bright colors.
If we adults want to have decent shoes we need to go online to the Nike or adidas website and create our own colorways via their customization program. Do you know how hard it is to find all black shoes that actually work for refereeing?
Holy shit. The Rose City Editions are awesome. http://solecollector.com/news/the-adidas-d-lillard-1-for-rose-city/
