This year: Dame has scored 80 points on 55 FGA, or 1.45 pts/FGA Russ has scored 78 points on 76 FGA, or 1.03 pts/FGA Dame is almost 50% more efficient. But the only stat that really matters is Dame is 3-0 this year against Russ and 6-1 against him over the past two seasons. BNM
And that doesn't include the January 9 game in OKC when Dame didn't play, but Shabazz Napier (21 points on 10 FGA) out played Russel Westbrook (22 points on 20 FGA) in Portland's 11-point victory. I know you're a fanboi and impressed with all of his (meaningless) triple doubles, but I'd be a hell of a lot more impressed if it actually helped his team win. BNM
Overall, 11-8 record for Lillard. More impressive? Take away Lillard's rookie year and Lillard is 11-4 against Westbrook head to head.
I was thinking the same thing. Some seem to be getting "Tier" and "String" confused. If he tier has two PG's in it. Then 3rd Tier would be 5th or 6th best in the league. If it has 5 PG's in it then we are talking out of the top 10. Big difference.
Domination isn't just in numbers. Watching the game and seeing Westbrook meltdown time and time again against us tells me that Lillard is in his head. I'll take a phrase out of your page with a slight modification. WE FUCKING WON THE GAMES
Which is a bullshit way of weaseling your way into getting to say Lillard is Third Tier. So let's establish what the tier is, then. 30 teams, how about 10% slices... three PG's per tier. Pick six active point guards you'd rather have than Dame.
He is a top 5 point guard this year and the proof is in the MVP rankings as he is typically one or two in the MVP race for point guards.
And we were 8-4 in those games even with Dame shooting below his averages. Where were you when it was time to celebrate those wins?? Ohhh that's right... On the forum of YOUR team probably... Kindly GTFO of here...
