A cross between CP3, Rose, Chancey, Roy, Thomas, Magic, Nash and Stockton . . . . . . . . . . only better.
I can see the Francis comparison. Obviously he was a shoot first and then shoot second type of PG, but Lilard gets to the rim in a similar way as Stevie Franchise.
Steve Francis was, without a doubt, a (short) shooting-guard. Lillard Seems to be a much more willing/capable passer.
VERTICAL LEAPS: 48" - Michael Jordan 48" - Darrell Griffith 46" - Spudd Webb 46" - Jason Richardson 46" - James White 44" - LeBron James 44" - Dee Brown 44" - Harold Miner 44" - Vince Carter 43" - Steve Francis 43" - Nate Robinson 42" - Antonio McDyess 42" - Dominique Wilkins 42" - Fred Jones 42" - Ricky Davis 42" - Tracy McGrady 41" - Allen Iverson 41" - Dr. J (Julius Erving) 41" - Shawn Marion 41" - Carmelo Anthony 40" - Shawn Kemp 40" - Larry Nance 39" - Rex Chapmann 38" - Kobe Bryant 38" - Paul Pierce 38" - Desmond Mason 38" - Harrison "Fucking" Barnes! 36" - Ralph Sampson 34" - Daryl Dawkins 32" - Shaquille Oneal 32" - Lamar Odom 30" - Magic Johnson 28" - Karl Malone 28" - Larry Bird 8" - Denny Crane (official HCP measurements) 4" - The HCP (official Denny Crane measurements)
And Lillard is 41", right? EDIT: nevermind, Draftexpress says 39.5" max vert (which is what I assume is listed above).
And our very own Elliot Williams has a 48 inch vertical! Maybe we sould call him Air Elliot! Doesn't that sound gay?
Because they are bigger. FYP. Lillard has really no midrange game to speak of (midrange game really needs work) so I think the Roy comparisons are a bit much. Roy had a very refined mid range game right out of College. I compare him to Derek Rose. Similar size, with no mid range game to speak of. But a better shooter.
