Seen you “bragging” on IG too; first time I’ve seen footage. Damn she can actually ball G, good speed and ball control, that’s a hell of a strike from that distance too. Looks talented enough that she could make a career of it if she stays at it and keeps her body healthy. Watch out man soon you’re not gonna be The HCP anymore you’re just gonna be “Olivia’s father”. Blazers just straight up don’t use your name anymore just “Olivias Dad” Also were you running track before the Felton years or are your kids like 85% your wife and 15% the sperm which decided to play the sport rather than record it like a nerd? I’m just trying to help defend you from Sly’s post…
I'm thinking you must love your daughter very much, Olivia's dad. I wouldn't want to be the young man who comes calling on your daughter and have to face your scrutiny. Actually, I faced that scrutiny from my wife's brother-in-law who asked me a whole lot of questions when I came calling on my wife. My wife's father passed away when she was quite young and her mother was in Korea. She only had sisters over here and only two of those lived in the Portland other, the other living in Georgia. Her sisters and brother spoke very little English so that left her brother-in-law who was about25 years older than her and he grilled me thoroughly. I always brought flowers on our first dozen dates or so and I knew I had to pass all the tests of her family, and there were plenty of tests. But I'm a very polite person and always acted accordingly. You have other children don't you. I'll bet you treasure all of them, knowing you.
So as somebody who doesn’t and has never gambled, I never understand “ODDS” This shows that only 2.1% of girls playing HS soccer in the US go on to play D1 College soccer……. What does the 48:1 mean? And compared to the other odds on this list. HELP!
Update: It was a VERY busy first 24 hours of recruitment. A few 12:01am emails and text messages…… The list of schools reaching out now is up to 7. Gonzaga, UofP, Loyola Marymount, Idaho, U of Rochester, Youngstown State and UMASS Lowell. Researching, and the 3 NE schools are very good academic colleges that saw her last week in North Carolina at her showcase. They came out of nowhere, pretty random, but cool they wanted her. Had ZOOM meetings with LMU and Gonzaga today that went well. U of P is tomorrow morning. Kinda’ stressful. Don’t want to rush, but don’t want to let a good opportunity pass her by either.
My wife is a U of R alumni, and actually was a part of their athletic program (track). she loved it there and it is, as you say, a very good school - academically. I visited her in her last year as a student there. As you can imagine, it gets bitter cold there in the winter.
Pass this on to Olivia's dad, Olivia: How's Olivia's dad doing? Is the old geezer still alive. Haven't heard from the old man in what seems like forever. All I hear about and want to hear about is you and your exploits on the pitch. Let me know what college you're going to so me and my wife can go to all of your home games. Ta da, oh and by the way, say ta da to the old man for me. By the way, calling someone something like Olivia's dad is a 100% Korean custom. We don't call my brother-in-law and sister-in-law by their names, we call them Jenny's dad and Jenny's mother, which translates in Korean to Jenny Uppa and Jenny Uma.
So a total of about 12 schools reached out so far…. She politely said no thanks to the eastern and southern schools. Wants to stay out west. She has narrowed it down to 3. UofP LoyolaMarymountU Gonzaga All 3 are aware that the others are recruiting her, and since they are all rivals from the same conference, the WCC, hopefully that works in our/her favor. All 3 are wanting to see her practice/play one more time this late fall with her club team before we all decide what’s going to happen. Seems like LMU is in the lead they have shown the most interest and seemed to have said the right things. At the moment, they have the weakest program, so it seems like they could offer more playing tune right off which is what she wants. LMU is also the first to want to bring us in for an “Official Visit” . Flying is down, putting us up and having us come to a game. She’ll get to meet the coaches, players and see the campus. Get a feel for it. Zags we’re in town last week to play PSU, and asked if we’d come to watch to meet her face to face. Cool experience for her. Love seeing coaches and recruiters showing her all this love. She still has almost two years to decide, but if the schools she’s interested are interested in her, might as well jump on it! Anyway, just wanted to keep those who don’t have me on ignore in the loop!!!
BROOOOOOOO... SHE IS A DESTROYER OF WORLDS... Even the shot that got saved in the 1st clip... Bruh... The header to herself as she sprints past the defender who has EVERY opportunity to clear it... It's borderline bullying. Jesus man... She's cold as a MF!
