She actually is pretty good in hoops. Playing with me and her big brother in front of the house. She was never interested in playing on a team though.
@Phatguysrule today is my daughter’s high school college signing day. All the kids heading off to play sports having a “signing ceremony”. Cool way to do it in front of her friends and peers. She already had one for her club last week. She has some really close friends including her boyfriend heading off to play football and baseball as well. Such an exciting time. Hope you get a chance to experience it brother.
This was her club’s ceremony. Allows the club to brag about how many players they get into college. Justifies them charging so much to join the club I guess. Worked out for us, but feel bad for some of these parents who paid all that cash and their kid DIDN’T move on to the next level.
Grant High School college signing ceremony. So cool seeing all these kids that are basically mine heading off to the next level.
Her tight group killed it in HS Soccer-Oregon/Gonzaga/Colorado College Lacrosse- San Diego State Baseball- Linn-Benton and a few other colleges. Football-PSUx2/Oregon State Great bunch of kids!
Looking pretty good thru 2 games. The other teams are highlighting her on their websites……5 goals and 3 assists….
Well that's about it on the youth career of The Little The HCP. I want to thank you for letting me share all this with you guys and girl. She heads off to USF the end of July and her training camp starts Aug. 1st. Some preseason matches..... -Oregon State -Cal -Stanford -Georgia -Defending NCAA Champs UCLA She plays up here against UofP October 28th..... Now we are looking at this realistically. Alot of times Freshman don't even play much let alone travel with the team....but just keeping an open mind to it. Not sure what I can share on here in the future if she's guarding the GATORADE...HA! Talking about that the other night, she said, "Dad, I'm not going to give them a reason to sit me!" Gotta love that. It's about to get real. @Phatguysrule I don't have to tell you how fast this goes. Look forward to you keeping us updated of your girls journey.
Thanks for sharing her journey with us! It's been incredibly inspiring and we're all so freaking proud of her!
The kid and I went down to Corvallis today to watch her boyfriend and his best friend play in the Oregon HS All-Star North vs South game. Hate baseball, but had a great time. Beautiful day in the valley. She’s only around another few weeks, so I’ll take all the father daughter time I can get, EVEN IF IT’S WATCHING BASEBALL!
She probably had a great time watching baseball on a beautiful day........even though she had to drag her old man along.....
Dropped the kid off at college this past weekend. All moved into the dorm and started training Monday. Can’t believe it. Their media day is tomorrow and their first official game is Wednesday!
