Yes, my brother and I have kicked that idea around. I will renew the thought for 2019. I want the boat in Puget sound that summer anyway.
May would be a fine time to take her up there.

Hey, I thought this thread would be good to cover how @HCP feels at a salad bar.

Ha! I am already set up to do those. My Wife use both mine and her's to keep her supplied. I guess it is the on order list restriction or something.
Both mine and her's are always full of her's

I haven't watched TV for a couple of decades other than the news on occasion if something is happening that I'm concerned with....as far as TV not being white enough.....for most of my childhood there were only a couple of black actors on prime time TV....Cosby in I Spy and Sammy Davis junior once in awhile...Hispanics were pretty much Jose Jimenez and Ricky Ricardo.....what they show on TV now probably targets an audience that in many cases doesn't have expendable income for cable TV.......time they are a changin'.......the only difference I could tell these days is TV is just not dominated by old white guys..

My mother was an avid reader all her life until about a year before she passed.....took me many tries to get her into audio books...once she finally tried them she loved them.

Well it doesn't much matter. Even when it was dominated by white guys. I was mussing over an old run of 77 Sunset Stripe yesterday. Gawd it was awful!

I suppose I would like the Blazers on TV and the News on the radio and I would be please. I get neither.

I get both the news and the Blazers on radio....I actually like the radio a lot...allows me to do things beside watch a screen while the games on....on youtube you can watch the game for free a day or so after they play...I usually just watch the highlights on the internet...guess I grew up listening to sports on a tiny transistor radio while out in the fields on a tractor....still prefer it.....back then it was pretty much just baseball and boxing

Oh, I hear you. Back in the early days, if I was not in my seat, I was listening to Schonely. But I can not get that here nor in Bandon anymore either.
I could on KEX and then KXL when they use 50k watts. No more. League pass worked for some years but that has been awhile, then they began blocking me from the Blazers.

I don't watch much actual TV. Watch Netflix.

Did try watching Empire when it came out. Stars Terrance Howard and Taraji P Henson. Two fabulous black actors. I was stoked to see a major tv show on a major network geared to black Americans. Watched a few episodes and realized it was a soap opera. So disappointed.

His dream job is Bill O'Reilly's old job on Fox......it's what he lives for...talking at people on TV and not being required to listen to anybody ever again
