it doesn't take a brilliant mind to not fall for the exact same BS of small market Portland losing it's assets to big markets for nada that Mark Stein has peddled at every crossroads for a decade plus now. Just the opposite really STOMP
So here's the question, do you get Hibbert on the cheap, and still go after someone like Green, or do you go after Jordan?
I'd personally go after Hibbert. I think Jordan's an EXCELLENT defender and a good dunker, but I think his offensive numbers are inflated from having CP3. Plus I think Hibbert would actually want to be in Portland. He has good low post moves, but no longer in him prime. Jordan is going to enter his prime in this contract though.
Ideally I would say Green. Jordan will be a max and Hibbert would be a trade for 15.5. ( so not really cheap)
Godfather ending with teams that thought they had us seeing themselves burning their own. Stealing Green and Olshey saying "Try this shit again and things will be worse" is the perfect way to NeilSlap the league that our team can't be pushed around
I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm ready to move on from LaMarcus ... I've felt like he was gone since late March/early April. I mean, if he comes back, can we legitimately get to the Finals with him shooting so many g'damn contested jumpers?
It would partially be cheap because we would be using already contracted players to obtain him. Signing Jordan would mean we really wouldn't have the players to fill our roster
Gone since March/April? You mean when he decided to opt out of surgery and keep playing to avoiding missing the playoffs gone?
I thought LA played with a lot of heart and passion right up until the playoffs. And still think his teammate or mates had more to do with his decline. That one teammate is now gone.
It amazes me how quickly people forget that. He didn't have to do that--he would've still commanded the same free agent market. I respect him for playing through that injury.
