IDK, but I do know that most of them aren't challenged and probably think you're a dick for calling them that!
FWIW- I feel you BG, I stepped away from being a regular poster and it's tough coming back having what I feel are a bunch of "rooks" trying to tell me what kind of fan I am, what I am thinking and how I am missing the big picture. I guess we are now the rooks and have to reestablish ourselves as maybe we might know a little something about what we are talking about. Worth the effort,? I don't know . . . but I hope you stay around and post as I am sure many of the real old timers appreciate your takes.
From a trading standpoint doesnt it make us vulnerable and desperate if it is known that aldridge is gone? Doesn't Olshey stand to gain something by snuffing out these rumors?
I don't think so, how would it hurt us? Especially even everyone's opinions will still be that he leaves
Because we shouldn't speculate and comment about Blazer material on a Blazer board unless it actually happens? (I get your point . . . just having fun)
What LA actually said to Olshey was "I'll stay, but there are way too many black guys on the roster. Please re-stock it almost entirely with white players." It's the only way to make sense of what happened.
GMs are always trying to obstruct what is really going on. No one here knows if the rumors have any merit of or Olshey's statements are true.
Prior to the trade and draft, the team had 4 white guys (Freeland, Kaman Meyers and Blake). After the trade and draft (and July 1st), the team has 4 white guys (Meyers, Kaman, Plumlee and Connaughton). And considering one of those 4 isn't even a guaranteed roster spot (Pat) and another isn't guaranteed a roster spot either (Kaman) , it's not like they really added more.
Hopefully nothing was said and this isnt just semantics. Like Aldridge never said a word, but his agent did.
