    For San Diego vs Portland, San Diego is far bigger. The commercial part of DT might be smaller, but in every other sense it is bigger. The city of San Diego has over 1M vs ~600k in Portland. The metro area is 3M vs 2M. As for the TV markets, here is a map that explains the reason why SD < PDX. It looks like all of Orange/Riverside counties are part of the LA market, which makes sense. But in PDX, part of the market looks to go up to or possibly into Idaho. That said, local commercials suck EVERYWHERE.

    On a side note, Robin is a natural for commercials. He is quirky enough to pull off comedy, and well spoken enough to pull off more serious "roles".

    You know what I mean though. If we did what SD did, the Portland city limits would go out past Troutdale to the east and Hillsborro to the West.
