God I wish you guys would read the actual post. I wasn't listing star players. I was listing point guards because the Spurs don't have a really good one at this point. Every other team still in the playoffs has an All-Star caliber point guard.
George Hill had a nice season and is a good fit in UTA, but he's not an all star caliber point guard. In fact, Tony Parker is having a better post season statistically than Hill. But, I do agree father time has finally started to catch up with the Spurs. Duncan is gone, Manu isn't nearly the player he used to be. As noted. Parker has slipped. Plus their bigs - Aldridge, Pau and David Lee are old, slow and not good defensively. The system and the talent is enough to win consistently during the regular season, but with Aldridge playing like shit, they don't even have a Big 2, let alone a Big 3 to compete in the post season. I mean, HOU just tore them apart. You expect HOU to score. That's how they're built, but when you let a Mike D'Antoni coached team hold you to 39 point in the first half on your home court, you've got problems. BNM
I have three LMA shirts; the most of any player from the Blazers. Besides that, I've got two Blazers playoff shirts that don't fit, one CJ shirt, and two Dame shirts. I haven't worn the LMA shirts since he left, and I have no idea what to do with them. I might give them away to the Goodwill, or bring them to the next Skybox meet.
You have to pump fake like you are going to throw the jersey into the fire about 9 times first. It helps to fan the flames.
I don't understand why people aren't happier that he moved on and saved the Blazers several more years of trying futilely build a contender around him? He did us a favor.
If the mother fucker was doing us a favor he would've allowed us to sign and trade him.... He wouldn't have blown smoke up our ass saying that he wanted to be the best Blazer ever... Selfish, soft ass, ol' marginal contact ass muthafucka...
I wish he would have been more forthcoming about his desire to leave so we could have traded him. Some of us were convinced that he should be dealt after the 2012 season, but many people were clinging to the hope that he would re-sign right up until the end. If he would have come out and said "I'm not going to re-sign," I think Neil would have been able to make the trade, but that fucker kept telling people he loved it here and that he wanted to go down as the greatest Blazer of all time. He put Neil in an impossible position because he would have caught a ton of shit for trading him.
