If only @dviss1 would actually take a side on this one way or the other and have a definitive opinion. Not rumors.....I specifically posted this time after time. (albeit in another forum) You all just had to "believe harder".
Are you saying it was true, or that it wasn't true? I can't tell. What did you hear about went down? (I don't visit RealGM)
I know you're not saying he was good at guarding PG's. But If he was able to guard PG's back then, he certainly isn't now. Have you guys watched any of these games? He is solo slow, and almost uncoordinated. It's almost cringworthy.
Perhaps. I know I was always expecting Lamarcus to become the greatest of the Blazers. He never did it. In retrospect, he never came close. Now I don't know why I was expecting. Perhaps it is just the hope for the Blazers for a whole lot of years now. Now it's Nurk.
He gained a considerable amount of weight during the off-season when he went to the Spurs. That's the reason why he's slower. But he was never able to guard point guards when he played for us. Just a poor Defender. The reason why he's such a poor off-ball Defender is because of his communication skills as he does not know how to communicate with the guard to stop from having to switch during pick-and-roll defense.
Pritchard and Indiana will trade for him as their last-ditch effort to keep PG13. McMillan and Aldridge will be reunited again. Indiana will send Al Jefferson to a 3rd team, and send SAS their 17th overall pick and a future pick. SAS will then sign a legit PF like Millsap or Griffin.
That's actually a fairly realistic idea. I don't think that will keep PG13 in Indy, but they can say they at least tried.
