Nope. Les Schwab is a NW only company. Why would they spend millions per year on the jersey patch? Companies interested in the jersey patch are national/international businesses, they want/need their logo seen across the world.
Rather have Toyota, their logo isn't bad and I don't think it would be glaring. If they use the jersey as a background it would look fine IMO. Also les Schwabbs yellow background on our jerseys? Talk about an eye sore.
I'd rather have no fucking advertising on the jerseys at all. I may stop watching basketball the way I stopped watching soccer.
How long until Lebron is going for a dunk and they blow a whistle to show an ad like YouTube does? Maybe they should get Camelback drinking backpacks filled with Gatorade and wear them while playing. Lebron could turn to the camera and take a drink while flying through the air.
Their shoes have logos on them. That doesnt seem to bother anyone. A small logo on the jersey doesnt bother me at all.
The shoes have logos of their manufacturer. I don't think Goodyear is manufacturing the Cavs' jerseys.
This article doesnt say that Nike competitors cant buy the jersey patch, but I'd be surprised if the NBA allowed it. http://money.cnn.com/2017/02/14/news/companies/nba-jersey-ads/
Technically, since Spalding does also make sneakers and athletic gear, one could argue that the prohibition of Spalding's competitors extends to Nike's competitors as well.
Ah. Switched from Sprite to Spite. What would you do if Lebron started repping Coors Light? Go thirsty?
If wookie ruled the world we'd all be naked in caves. Last I checked, official logos, uniforms, advertising patches etc... don't change how the game is played. Suck it up and be an adult quit being offended by change.
