    Trump inserted himself into the story. It's not 'the left' who made him tweet a bunch of stupid nonsense about London.

    If he'd just made the usual 'we stand with the people of London' statement, he wouldn't be a subtopic here.

    okay what does the thread subject say? it doesn't say "trump tweets about london" but I guess that's all you want to make it about. My question to you is if you think there is an issue with extremism in the UK?

    Dude. The TWEET is what he did. The left, You, just don't get it.

    I am NO fan of Trump, But the Mayor of London doesn't think there is a problem, so Trump let him know he is wrong. He DID something. He told another leader you better watch your step cause your fucking up not taking this serious.

    Come on man . Terrorism is real shit and Trump hasn't been president a Year. And for the record one of the first terrorism acts that really opened Americans eyes to the situation was under a democrats watch. The first WTO bombing....
    Trumps name shouldn't be the one you are mentioning regardless of what he tweeted. It should be the extremist leaders that directed/executed this atrocity. Anything else is purely insane and a laughable excuse to deflect the real issue.

    My answer to you is yes. There is.

    But that doesn't mean I have to talk about that issue and only that issue, no matter what the thread subject says. Threads go off on tangents every day here, and I'm not always the one pushing them off.

    I happen to be more interested in American politics than international terrorism. I tend to post more about subjects that interest me. I suspect we all do.

    And that fixes terrorism how, exactly? Leaving aside the fact that what he was actually doing was taking the mayor's comment out of context so that he could 'pay him back' for a comment the mayor made last year.

    And your point there is what, exactly?

    Not sure what you are talking about here. I certainly did not suggest Trump was responsible for this attack. Are you really saying we should not mention anyone else's name except the terrorists? For how long? And wouldn't that be giving the terrorists exactly the attention they want?

    Sadly, the most likely effect this will have on US is thousands, perhaps millions of Europeans are going to want to immigrate to America.

    Where they will be free to defend themselves rather than wait for the bobbies to scamper in after they are dead.

    Okay I understand topics go off into other topics, etc but I don't see what exactly trump directly has to do with this in his history besides speaking out for it and calling out the mayor for it. I mean, I would have to agree with him on both of those despite disagreeing on many things he stands for.     whatever else he said this time around that was much like the embassy attack. Would you really feel safe? I mean we have people that just died at the london bridge, others who died just strolling on by the embassy and a couple weeks ago people getting bombed at a fucking ariana grande concert. So where is it really safe there? these attacks are happening more and more frequently. That's 3 in just the last couple months

    It's not that it exists, it's that it is a giant issue over there that is getting worse and guess what? people here want us to take people in like the UK does which would only result in the same thing here. That's an issue

    I never talked about building a wall but thanks for proving that once again you can not talk about anything else without bringing up something involving trump. Seems there are more terrorist attacks in UK than here by far. Hmnmm probably has to do with them just letting EVERYBODY in
