Not necessarily. I believe the G-League has a waiver system like the NBA.

Something that has dawned on me is that we haven't heard a peep or even seen anything from the dad (THANK GOD). You'd think with the whole world watching everything Lakers, he would have popped up. I believe he has seen the errors in his ways and how he has fucked up. Looks like he has stepped back and is trying to get the middle ones career back on track and praying he didn't fuck over the youngest ones too much.
LeMelo was ranked Top 10 in the country before his exodus.
LiAngelo I don't believe was on any pro scouts roster. Most believe he got the offer from UCLA, just because of Lonzo.
Think what you want about his dad, but this will be interesting to see how things pan out.

    Okay!

One of these is Lonzo Ball and the other is a backup guard. I'm curious if people can figure out the mystery man!

    Mystery player 1 - 9.6 ppg, 4.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals in 26.6 minutes per game

    Mystery player 2 - 9.8 ppg, 4.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds, .9 steals in 24.3 minutes per game.

    Find that player!

So, are you suggesting that the Lakers' forum should have a "Lonzo Ball: Sixth Man of the Year" thread?

Shouldn't a Sixth Man of the Year actually help his team win games?

This part made me laugh, not for anything to do with the Ball family:

"LaMelo will enroll at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. He’ll be playing for the basketball program there this winter and is expected to make his debut on November 13 against national powerhouse La Lumiere in Indiana."

La Lamiere is a private academy near where I grew up in Indiana. Back then, they weren't anything close to a "national powerhouse". I played JV my sophomore year and we beat them 77-22. Most lopsided game I ever played in. We pulled our starters midway through the second quarter. We weren't even trying to run the score up on them, they were just REALLY bad.

I was surprised to see them on ESPN a couple years ago playing in big tourney with the Oak Hills, Mater Deis and Findlay Preps of the high school basketball elite.

He sure has been extremely mia. It’s definitely possible he realized he fucked up and it also doesn’t help that Lonzo looks garbage out there.

One is starting to pull away, the other is regressing to the norm.

    Evan Turner - 10.4 ppg, 4.1 ast, 5.5 reb, 0.9 stl in 25.0 MPG

    Lonzo Ball - 9.0 ppg, 4.5 ast, 4.8 reb, 1.3 stl in 26.1 MPG

Tonight: 3 points on 1-6 shooting, including 0-3 from 3-point range and 1-2 from the line. So much for his improved shooting.

SPIRE head coach Jermaine Jackson: “We got the guy who can make the blind see and the cripples walk in LaMelo Ball. Like Magic Johnson said in the 80s, don’t look down because you might miss something. It’s showtime baby.”

Great. Something else for ESPN to bust a nut over.

I promise you he'll never see a minute of meaningful NBA action.
