From a friend's Facebook update: "Lonzo Ball looks like a skinny lesbian who can't decide if she's left or right handed, playing basket ball in black socks. Do your thang girl"

He'll either sink or swim. It's like when Bobby Orr came into the the NHL. He was the most heralded rookie in league history and every goon in the league wanted a piece of his ass. After the first year, they didn't test him because he was tough and could handle the adversity.

Trash. Pat Beverley ate him for lunch.

Dame dropped 23/11 in a win in his NBA debut. We take that for granted.

Lonzo is 19 and played against one of the best guard defenders in the league. He will bounce back.

Dame was 22. I think Dame will be the better of the 2 when all is said and done. We will see how Ball does during his age 22 season.

Coddamn guys, let's pump the brakes on shitting on Ball so soon.

To be honest I was glad to see him fail this game for the obvious reasons. But, he is 19 and will succeed in time. He has three very good NBA skills, handle, passing and rebounding and that should be enough to be solid. He will also hit the open shot. Just probably never lead the league in scoring.

I will have more respect when he stands up like a man and tell his dad to STFU. To me that is when he will have arrived.

I just saw that the Lakers are on national TV (either ESPN, ABC, TNT or NBAtv) at least once pretty much every fucking week this season.

The funny thing is that despite Magic salivating over this kid so much, we actually have a Magic like rookie playing this year, Ben Simmons looks like the real deal.

ESPN, Yahoo Sports, fucking NBA.com.... it's all Lonzo Ball/LaVar Ball/Lakers front and center. Jesus fucking christ, I am so goddamn over it. Seriously, the cock-swallowing of these fucking blowhards is really starting to put me off on the NBA product in general.

Yea that been the biggest problem is the networks hype this kid up so much and due to his dad big mouth. But this not first time they have done this with a player. I think the kid going to do alright but not to the instinct to the hype they have cover him. There other young rookies at the same age that had better outings that this kid had.

I agree!..... I think. Disgusting thought but. F the Fakers!

The problem I think I have with Ball is that he got hyped because of his dad instead of his BB skills etc. Where would have Ball been drafted if Lavar didn't hype him? Would he have cracked the top 10? He does have some skill, but that shooting form! Really Lavar? Lakers probably select someone else, don't you think? I can't wish nothing but a good ol-fashioned ass whooping on this kid....for now. Maybe later I give him a break. F the Lakers.

Lavar opened the door for Dad's everywhere to follow the same path. I understand that they will benefit financially for this stunt, let's hope he's the last to do so.

I couldn't care less about how his game was last night. The broadcast was full of so much fake bullshit about how great this young team will be and how loaded with talent it is and how Ball is the best rookie the Lakers have had since Magic.... And It's all bullshit because none of them have shown that they have All Star talent yet, let alone all NBA talent.

I liked watching Lonzo at UCLA and think he will eventually mature into an good NBA player. But do we really need to see the Lakers every almost every single week on national television until March?! The league doesn't need to sell LA anymore if they aren't relevant. It almost seems like a Stern era decision. Oh! Watch Ball hit three shots and they get blown out every other game. NBA! IT'S FAN-TASTIC!

Meh, some of what you're saying is true. But I still don't believe him in any way. My gut tells me it's more about his father. I'll stick with my gut. It's served me well.
