I listen to a couple but I want more, especially if there’s pods that are more analytical than either hype machines or too basic.

The three I know of: Locked On Blazers, Rip City Report and Courtside.

I just downloaded Pull Up with CJ, but haven’t listened yet.

    Suggestions?

Also general NBA suggestions are welcomed but I’m more happy with those already, Woj Pod, Dunc’d, and The Ringer NBA.

I've always got a kick out of the Basketball Jones, though I think they haven't been as good since they became the Starters. To be fair it may be nostalgia as I feel like I've listened to them most of my adult life. I do like how much they seem to genuinely enjoy the game though, you can tell they're having fun.

@Further is this your way of asking me to finally put one together? Would you listen? There would be no reading of boring analytics spreadsheets, or break downs of how to better defending a pick n roll on the weak side.......but I could promise some kickass guest appearances and some fun.

Why would we want to hear a podcast about the Lakers?

Holy Backboard is a good one.

My YouTube channel will be hosting not only my own podcast in September, but others podcasts as well.

I’d love that as long as it was only audio..

I dont know if mine will be downloadable. I post content on YouTube already and my podcasts will be MON/WED/FRI livestreams, which will be archived on my channel as a rewatchable podcast.

Go to Libsyn.com. Create a RSS feed. Then post on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, etc. Then people can download your podcasts. It'll cost you a few bucks a month but it's worth it. You'll reach more people. Let me know if you need help. I've done three podcast series.

My favorite podcasts are the The Ringer NBA Podcasts, especially The Mismatch every Tuesday. It's about the whole NBA but today's Group Chat podcast was mostly about Portland so you might want to check that out. Also- Bazemore had a podcast last season that you might want to check back episodes of. I haven't listened yet but I might. Finally, Chris Craig and I do an NBA Playoffs podcast series that we plan on continuing in 2020 and we are heavily biased towards the Blazers. If you want to hear an episode, check these out. My favorite is "I'm So Excited":

What's the ad revenue like on those platforms?

I listen almost exclusively on Stitcher, It’s just so much easier to use one platform. I drive Uber on the side, 8-15 hours/week and have a 30min morning and evening commute to and from my job. Much of that time is spent on Stitcher. (I have hearing aids with Bluetooth so I can listen covertly.)

You have to build your audience to tens of thousands to get to a monetizing level. My podcasts haven’t gotten to that level. Go to Libsyn.com. It’s all explained and handled by them.

See, I'm already in a position where I'm making money on YouTube's ad revenue system. So I dont know why I'd focus on an audio-only platform which, if anything will lose me money by taking away people from YouTube.

I did a look last week at exactly how many "Podcasts" were out there and the number will shock you. As of this year there are more than 500,000 different types of podcasts and the nation is well past what some call "peak audio". You tube is worse. Somewhere about 23 million different channels. That means there are about 20 people in America per channel. There are a bunch of them for sure.
