Thanks. Good points. Thiugh i think im willing to wait a year and double my spending range to get a slightly larger and newer boat. Ill pay to have it hauled When needed and probably just pay for a dock space in the oc marina or something.

My cousin lives on a converted tug boat moored on Whidbey Island in Seattle.

Edit: My cousin's brother, i.e. my other cousin, used to tool around on a trimaran. One time he moored it in Hilo, Hawaii. A big storm came up and is sank. He had no insurance and lost it all. He now lives in Washougal and lives the life of a hippy. He's pretty useless now.

Their parents also built a trimaran, I think it was a 35 footer and lived on it. Moored it in Clatskanie. My uncle built in his marble business shop in Lake Grove. He never wore any breathing protection and had serious medical issues the rest of his life. He sued the company that made, and now I forget whether it was a paint company or an adhesive company, a material that he applied to the wood. He lost his suit. He was a staunch Republican who firmly believed in do what I say not what I do except for not having health insurance. So, he spent the rest of his life living off the government which with his three kidney transplants cost a lot of money.
