Personally, as a lover of the game, I'd like both him and Telfair to stay and improve their obviously awesome potential games. From my personal standpoint however with all the money problems both of them have, I feel that they should really take it and sadly, unfortunately, work on their game in the NBA.
Don't you think Deng can improve those numbers and in a cuople years if he sticks with college can make himself into a potential number one pick? I don't think hes ready. Deng can learn a whole lot over 3-4 years from one of the greatest coaches, Coach K. Deng can develop into a great player if he stays on the college level longer and studies the game more. There's certain times where Deng has screwed up and it has been costly, example the Duke vs. UConn game. He needs to stay in my opinion.
Magic, I love Telfair as well and wish he would stay. Im a big fan of Louisville, you know how great he can be under Pitino, a great coach and teacher of the game? He's committed there so HOPEFULLY he doesn't go. He needs to learn from TJ Ford and go to college. Both are very small players anf Ford developed into a great PG.
First of all, I think Deng would be a lock to go to Charlotte if he lasts to #4. He's a local product and the type of guy that can be the face of a franchise. While normally you want to get a big man to build a team around, I can't see Charlotte drafting a guy like Biedrins or Podkolzine if Deng is on the board. Neither of the euros are anything close to household names, and drafting a guy that every person in North Carolina knows would be a godsend to Charlotte. All that being said, I think it's very likely that Deng is off the board by the time Chalotte picks. If Chicago has the #2 and Okafor is gone, I think its more likely that Chicago would take Deng than Howard, though they're probably the only team that would. But I think most teams would take Deng if they were picking third. My guess is that Charlotte trades up to #3 to grab Deng. They're the team in the best position to make a deal and I'm sure the team with the #3 pick will have already made a deal with Charlotte when the expansion draft takes place, or they'll do it sometime between then and draft night.
But what about their situations, that should be taken into consideration, it would be very difficult to live and get by for either of them.
I dont really know but I know that he will do well where ever he ends up. Thats all i have to say on the topic.

We know his basketball IQ and his skills are terrific."</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Bobcats are leery of selecting a high school player with the fourth pick, because that player will be under so much scrutiny as the franchise's first-ever selection. ^ I call that a lot of gamesmanship on the part of the Bobcats. They're doing whatever they can to seem disinterested. And I would dispute the notion that there is no consensus #3 pick. While Howard and Okafor are the top 2 by a clear margin, the simple fact that Chicago fans would consider taking Deng with the #2 pick shows me that Deng has separated himself from the herd. Also, reading between the lines on that article, no euro player was mentioned, which confirms my belief that selecting an american player (or at least one that played NCAA ball) is important to Charlotte. Of the 4 players mentioned in the article, Deng, Childress, Nelson, and Harris, Deng has the most potential by far. The other three are about as good as they are going to get.
