I am guessing not to many of you have watched him play. I've only seen him play a handful of games, but I will tell you what I saw. Great shooter. Good athlete. Many people are going to assume since he is white, he is just a shooter, but he isn't. Has good handles and is a good passer. But his awareness, especially around the basket, is good. He can finish. He has the athleticism to make tough shots around the basket. His greatest asset though, is shooting. You couple that with LeBron, its a nice combo. LeBron will draw attention, drive, and now has someone to kick it out too. He isn't a great defender though. His biggest knock. I like the pick for you guys. I really do.
I have, when he was in college with Oregon. And anyone in Ohio, anyone listen to Mike Trivasano yesterday, WTAM 1100? They had Luke Jackson on their. Triv was talking to LJax, he sounds realy excited and happy to be playing for the Cavs. Great news!
ah i missed that i really like luke's attitude from the few interviews and such i've seen, i'm really looking forward to next season with the additions we've made to the team and the improvements our guys will have made
im wondering what the consensus is on here regarding ljax's role this season: will he start right away? will we bring him off the bench all yr as the 6th man? personally, i feel either he or pavlovic needs to be on the floor almost all the time, unless lebron improves his shooting so much that he is (in the defense's mind) a legit 3 point threat all the time. i also wonder where this puts our rotation: 5. z 4. booz 3. jax 2. bron 1. mac with battie, e will (if hes back), kedrick, and wagner
sorry bout the double post here, but heres another point that hasnt been mentioned yet. i think luke's addition also allows us to use lebron as our backup pg rather than ollie, consider this 2nd option lineup 5. z 4. booz 3. e will or luke or pavlovic 2. wagner or luke 1. lebron i know lebron struggled a bit last yr at the point, but he is way better there than ollie was at the end of the yr
