I have a confession about a kitten. One time my mother had two sister cats. They both had litters within a couple days of each other. Mom was able to give away all the kittens but one which was growing to large to be cute anymore. So, she packs it up in a cardboard box and tells me to take it to the humane society where they would dispose of it. On the long drive over there the large kitten kept trying to get out of the box with the top folded together. I kept pushing it's head back into the box where it would meow. Got it to the humane society and left it with them and went home. It bothered me all the way home and all these years 'cause I'm sure they gassed it shortly after I left. I am still haunted by it's pleading meow.
