Re: Madden 08 Preview!! Madden doesn't grade its rookies based on the scouting combine. It usually grades them on expectations. otherwise, last year Lendale White would have been ranked much lower than he was. And if Mario Williams wasn't picked #1 overall, and was picked instead by say, the jets at #4, do you think he still would have gotten an 86, and not the 85 that was given to Ferguson? And look at Matt Leinart and Vince Young. People were split about half and half on who was the better prospect. Well, they both ended up getting an 82.

While it hasn't been confirmed that THAT is the reason, that's the reason why Madden 07 for GC was $10 less than the other versions: to help sales. How do I know that? Because the GC version of 07 is identical to the PS2 version (which, originally anyway, costed $10 more than the GC version) in every way except for online play, which the GC version does not have. So 07 for GC lacked one feature and thus had slightly less content. The fact that it was $10 less still was to help sales, because the Xbox version of 07 was $49.95 and it didn't have online play.
Re: Madden 08 Preview!! Honestly, do you think lowering the price of the biggest and only NFL franchise game will affect sales? People that are going to play an NFL are going to play Madden no matter how much it costs because it is the only game out there.
