Anyone else having trouble rushing the passer? I can generate it up the gut pretty decently...

But using the Cowboys; the pressure needs to come off the edge.... and I haven't been able to do that. I can do it ok if I take control of my player; but I need to be NT anchoring my defense (or Bradie James).

I do. I'm the Chargers. My LB's have two sacks (both by Shaun Phillips), and I'm in week 10. Merriman: 40 something tackles, 10 something for a loss, 0 sacks.

I even played one game where all I did was blitz; nothing. I do get a fair amount of pressure from my line, though.

So I ditched the Madden IQ thing. It was a good idea, but implemented poorly. My rush offense was always maxed out at 20, even though I was only averaging something like 2.5ypc, and most of that was because of Romo's scrambling ability. Since I've ditched that and used custom sliders, the game has started playing a lot better.

And I don't know why people are complaining about getting to the QB. I have no issues at all. I'm through 8 games in my Franchise and Ware has 6 sacks, plus a whole bunch of other people have a fair amount as well. If anything is broken, it's the play of the human offensive line. My o-line is full of stud players, but I've been getting sacked like crazy. I think Romo has already been sacked like, 40 times, somewhere around there, and again, I'm only through 7 games. It's ridiculous.

I've found it very hard to get to the QB the whole time I've been playing Madden (since the 2k series was killed). I've used Derrick Burgess the whole time who's a pretty good pass rusher and this year I've been using Elvis Dumervil (signed as a FA in my franchise). I can get pressure fairly well but I don't actually get that many sacks. Most of the ones I do get are where the lineman moves or switches and I get a free lane into the pocket which rarely happens. Maybe I just suck ass at pass rushing?

Sacking the QB is hard, but interceptions are a lot easier in this game. The Raiders aren't that bad for a team with such a low rating.

I get like 5 sacks a game, so I don't understand how it's hard to get to the QB.
