Defiant Madison Cawthorn says he is being attacked by the 'political establishment' with 'salacious lies' because he is a 'hardcore conservative' - after he was stopped for having a gun at an airport
    • Cawthorn posted a two-minute thirty-second video on Instagram taking aim at the North Carolina GOP and a 'RINO senator' who is likely Tom Tillis
    • Tillis publicly called for an insider trading investigation into Cawthorn on Wednesday after it was reported he could have been linked to a crypto scheme
    • 'They're putting... millions of dollars to be able to defeat me, and they're starting to say just these ridiculous salacious lies,' Cawthorn said on video
    • It comes a day after he was accused of having a gun in his carryon at an airport
    • Cawthorn was also pulled over twice this year, once getting his license revoked
    • He's facing mounting opposition to his re-election bid, especially the primaries
Scandal-plagued Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) lashed out at his critics in a lengthy tirade on Tuesday night, claiming the 'political establishment' is trying to take him down with 'salacious lies.'

In a two-minute thirty-second clip posted to Instagram, the 26-year-old freshman Republican appears paranoid and rambling as he accuses the North Carolina GOP and 'one RINO senator' of waging a war on his re-election bid.

He claimed they were trying to deliver his political career a 'death by a 1,000 cuts.'

The Republican Party is without question the party of victimhood. It’s beyond embarrassing.

and it's not a new fad either.

How often have we heard from Republicans/Conservatives, that the only group you can "still" make fun of is Christians and whites?

The whole "silent majority" was basically a fancy way of claiming they're victims.

    They're the true victims, ya'all...

Its an odd mixture of being a victim, while simultaneously telling everyone else that they need to take personal responsibility for their actions and need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

It is definitely a skill that democrats don't have. Accuse everyone else of doing something (to you) that you do to everyone else.

And then when it's brought up, they double down.

I.e., "Democrats are the REAL racists"

Their proof? 160+ years ago a Republican was named Abraham Lincoln.

That guy is such a sleaze. What are the odds that wheelchair is a scam?

No, that is not a mean joke. I actually think there may be a fake "miracle" in his future. What better way to leap-frog Trump as the "god-emperor-for-life" candidate?

Nah the wheelchair isn't a scam.

DeSantis is already picking up that mantle.

That pull yourself up applies only to Black and poor people. Not white Christians.

Same with the personal responsibility part. They take no personal responsibility for anything, they blame others as conspiring against them for being conservative. It’s always a prejudiced conspiracy when they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar, personal accountability flies out the window suddenly.

It’s a deep state conspiracy that I brought an under age sex worker across state lines, not my fault!

It’s a false flag conspiracy of groomer Democrats that the January 6th insurrection happened.

And they are giddy about free speech on Twitter, but don't say gay in Florida. And if anyone opposes that they get punished.

I've always found it funny how people (in this case, the right/conservative sheeple) are all about "freedom of speech" in relation to a privately owned company, when the 1st amendment has nothing to do with a privately owned company.

Why the F does anyone need a gun on an airplane Maris?

Why do you argue illogical things? It discredits you when you argue logically…

Let me guess, to stop other people with guns on a plane?

Why don’t we allow guns on airplanes? Is it really that shocking and uncalled for?
