What a game. That had me on the edge of my seat all the way through (Unfortunatly can only listen to it, but better than nothing really).

Great come back, and some great free throws under pressure, unlike marbury who buckled big time. Mobley, injured? none of it, what a game for him.

V.disappointing game for Howard, coming off a 20reb game to only get 3, he still did ok, 10pts helped and he was fairly solid in stopping players getting to the hoop it sounded like. But aslong as Kato or howard has a big game we are good, and kalvin came up wit h the goods tonight, and I am glad, Kato been a bit over shadowed by Howard, and he proved tonight 2nd half what he does on the D, and offensive rebounds ofcourse.

unliked against raptors, tonight showed that our "go to guys" can produce, raptors was a different game, 8 players with double figure points. Hill, Francis and once again Cat are so important to our offense each night.

want hedo to get back from tonights game and come up big vs grizzlies though

Games like that one show why it is awesome to be a Magic fan. They played terrific and it is good to see Mobley playing well. I was extremely shocked that Marbury missed those FT's! I thought he would make both of them for sure. Anyways, great job Magic and keep it up against Memphis tommorow night!

Orlando Magic 104, NY Knicks 98

    Recap

First off great game NY Knicks it was tight until the last seconds of the game. Good luck with the rest of your season. This was probably our biggest test of the year if we could come back, and win a close game after being down, and we passed with flying colors.

There where so many great matchups tonight, but there where a couple dissappointments as well. First lets start off with the bad so we can get that out of the way. hedo played horrible for a player who is one of the leading sixth man of the year canidates. He scored a total of 2 points on 1/5 shooting and had 2 rebounds 3 assists. Also Dwight Howard failed to reach doubl digit rebounding for only the third time this year as he finished the game with 10 points, and only 3 boards by the way we lost the battle of the boards 40/36. A few more bad things was Jameer Nelson went score less this game after scoring 10 points in Toronto.

Ok now lets look at the matchups....

Center Kelvin Cato/ Nazr Mohammed. This matchup featured a total of only 7 points combined, but it featured a total of 22 boards combined in between the two. Cato reached double digit rebounding for his third game in a row now, and Nazr lead the Knicks in rebounding with 12 boards. Cato regressed back to his old ways after having a double double two straight games.

Power Forward Dwight Howard/ Kurt Thomas. Howard had possibly one of the worst games of his short NBA career. Though he put up decent offensive numbers. He only posted a total of 3 boards during this game. I do not put fault on him for this he was being defended by a seasoned vetern who knows how to play defense in Kurt Thomas. Thomas finished the game with a total of 16 points and 7 boards.

Small Forward Grant Hill/ Tim thomas. This matchup in my mind was won by Grant Hill he posted a 20+ point game as he scored 21 points, and 5 asists. One of the bad parts was his lack of rebounds during this game which really was disturbing a little. He had no rebounds at all. Tim thomas on the other side had a total of 18 points, and 5 rebounds, but had a lack of assists this game.

Shooting Guard Mobely/ Crawford. one of the best matchups of the night combined for a total of 57 points tonight. Mobely in his second game back after missing nine games with a strained groin scored a season high of 34 points, and had 6 rebounds. Crawford on the other side of the ball had 23 points and 5 asists on 10/24 shooting he was only 1/6 from the arc this game which is pretty bad for a shooting guard.

Finally the floor leaders Steve Francis/ Stephon Marbury. Stevie Franchise lived up to his name once again this game hitting clutch free throws at the end of the game to seal it for the Magic. The Franchise had 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists upping his scoring for the season, and keeping his impressive season going. Marbury deserves a lot of credit for keeping his team in the game he scored a total team high of 28 points and posted 8 assis. He did not keep his good three point shooting going this game though 1/7 form the arc. This matchup featured a lot of turnovers as both of them had 5 a piece for a total of 10 turnovers. The Magic had a team total of 16 turnovers while the Knicks had 20.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting sportsrock37:</div><div class="quote_post">I think that the Crawford vs Mobley matchup will be the X-Factor Matchup. Crawford has been playing really well lately and Mobley just got back from injury and his first game back he shot 6-10 for 16 pts in very limited minutes. I think whoever wins this matchup will win the game.

    Magic 107-103.</div>

Sorry for bringing this back up, but I told you so. Mobley with 34 pts helped to bring us the W. I'm so glad he's back, we have missed his scoring ability and chemistry with Franchise and Cato. Great game by everyone. I was a little disappointed with D-12 though, only 3 boards, I guess that averages out the 20 board game, but you have to think that he will dominate the glass in tonights games.

Yup, D12 didnt provide a great board game last night unfortunatly, but at least he got some experience and will learn from the match that you dont win all your match ups. I think that was one of our more disappointing rebounding games over all, D12 down, Hill w/ none, and though big Kato got 12, it was 6 awsome off boards, but a small 6 def in comparision.
