Ok guys, back on topic. Fact or Fiction: Vince Carter will play for the Magic at some point in his career.
Fiction, I really don't see the Nets letting him go... and even if they do, i dont think the magic organization is ready to give up all the money he would want. We also found out last year (and the years before) that a superstar won't necessarily win a championship. I say that we go for someone young that is able to contribute instead of try to carry the load. F/F: Will the Magic sign J. Howard?
Fiction: Dallas will do what ever it takes to re-sign him. Fact or Fiction: Diaw at some point in his career will play for the Magic.
Fiction: Suns will lock him up so they can pair him with amare. F/F: Grant starts the first 15 games of the season?
Fiction, I don't think 50 is impossible, but it's a huge stretch. I'm expexting high 40's though and a definite playoff berth.
Remember, always post another Fact or Fiction statement after you answer the previous one. I'll start it back up. Fact or Fiction: Dwight Howard's jersey breaks the Top 20 in sales.

Fact or Fiction: Dwight Howard's jersey breaks the Top 20 in sales.</div> Fact: I think by season's end it will be top 20. He isn't the most popular jersey sale right now, but after more and more people see him, they will go out and buy jerseys. Another big reason the big names sell so many jerseys is national TV time. Orlando gets none, whereas Miami, LAL, PHO, SA, DAL, for example get a lot of tv time. Fact or Fiction: Redick will average more than 5 mpg over Bogans.
Fact, later in the season his minutes will rise and he will gain. F/F: Dwight is better than Chris Bosh
Fact, I think Dwight is built better than Bosh with his enormous shoulders and upper body strength and I just think Dwight will be a better player. He can rebound and play defense better than Bosh and his offense will improve as he becomes our number one option (and as Redick stretches the floor for him). Fact or Fiction, Redick misses more than 20 games due to injury this season.
<div class="quote_poster">TwinTowers Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Fiction, misses 20 games due to Brian Hill F/F: Magic stay at the top of our division all year</div> Fact. The Heat are going downhill. If they lose Wade, it's over. They aren't doing anything impress this season so far. The Magic have great chemistry and can afford an injury to anyone not named Dwight Howard. Washington only has Butler, Arenas, and Jamison. If any one of those players gets injured, they're done. No need to mention Atlanta and Charlotte because they are still building their team. They have young talented players but not much of a team chemistry yet. F/F: Dwight will make the All-NBA First Team.
Fiction. Right now, Yao Ming is the best center in the NBA. I think Dwight is the best center in the East but until Dwight becomes a consistent offensive threat, he's not going to make the All-NBA First Team over Yao. Ming's offensive arsenal is so much better than it was when he entered the league and right now, he deserves the honor over Howard. Fact or Fiction: The Magic will make a move before the trade deadline rolls around.
<div class="quote_poster">Franchise4Ever Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">F/F Dwight will make the All-Star Game.</div> Fact. Even though Shaq will probably be named the game's starter just because of his status, Dwight should get in as a reserve at least. The coaches recognize how good Dwight has been this year and the fact that he's leading the league in rebounds doesn't hurt his chances. Fact or Fiction: Jameer Nelson will lose his starting job sometime this year (not due to injury).

Otis Smith has already discussed this issue. F/F: Redick will play at least 30 games.
I figured I'd get this thread going again since we're in the off-season. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">F/F: Redick will play at least 30 games.</div> Fact. He played 42 games this season. Fact or Fiction: The Magic will have a new coach by the start of the new season.
Good call, Riot. This is a good off-season thread. Fact. I don't think the Magic would have publicly said they are considering firing Hill unless they plan on actually doing it. I disagree with the way that we are handling this situation though because we could already be interviewing coaches and looking for a replacement by now (like the Pacers and Bobcats are doing) rather than waiting around and getting nowhere. Fact or Fiction: Darko Milicic will re-sign and then start next season. (two part question )
Fact on Riots. I pretty much agree with everything Swish said on the topic. We pretty much are going about the process in the most inefficient way possible, which pretty much sums up the Magic since we made the Finals. On Swish's. Signing Darko will be absolutely huge for this team. Give him PT alongside Dwight on a regular basis and it will pay dividends for this team in the near future. I think for us to reach our peak potential we need to do both, but with the Magic organization you never know what is going to happen. Fact or Fiction: Magic sign/trade for Vince Carter or a big name scorer.
