Fiction. I think the Heat, with Williams, Wade, James Posey and possibly Damon Jones have a better, more talented backcourt than the Magic. F/F: Steve Francis will finish top 10 in the league in scoring next season.
Fact. Magic did improve in the offseason. There players got healthy. If I remember correctly magic started going down when our players got hurt. Cato played most of the season hurt. He had a huge impact on the first 15 games we had before he went down. Hill has been playing and he even said that he feels quicker, his shot is better and he feels all around a better player. Not to mention of all the teams in the east this one has kept its players together. We arent going into a season with a bunch of new players like Miami, Cavs, Nets and Bucks. We have a team that has played together and will do well. We only fell off last year because of the injuries and lack of a bench. Once Hedo, christie and hill went down we were done. we were playing 3 15 day contract players. You cant expect anyone to play with a 1/3 of your lineup out. We should win atleast 40 games this season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting smokrockz:</div><div class="quote_post">We should win atleast 40 games this season.</div> Fact. I think that we will win 40+ games next season. This season we have a strong starting lineup and bench. Also we signed a new Coach who has proven he can win games and he feels comfortable in Orlando. With our injured players getting better, our team obviously gets better... some of our best players were injured last season, but they will be ready to play for us this year. Dwight Howard is already an extraordinary player and he's still developing and growing, he is the future. I'm saying we go 43-39. F/F: The Orlando Magic will make the playoffs this season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">F/F: The Orlando Magic will make the playoffs this season. </div> This is a tough question but my answer is going to be yes. With the Eastern Conference being weaker then the Western Conference, I think the Magic will be able to sneak into the playoffs as a 7th or 8th seed. If our team can stay consistent and healthy we will have a decent chance of making the postseason. How far we go is a completely different story. Since we will probably be a late seed at best, it means we will have to play a good team like the Pistons or Heat in the first round so I don't expect us to make a huge run in the playoffs either. Our main goal should be trying to make it and then trying not to get sweeped. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">F/F: Jameer Nelson will be traded by the end of the offseason.</div> I don't think he will be traded just because our front office seems pretty happy with our team as of right now. We have a good core and I doubt we will see any big trades before the season starts. Maybe during the season we will see a trade but I doubt anyone will be moved before our new coach and general managers get to see the players in an actual game situation. F/F Dwight Howard will be an All-Star this season.
fiction- I hope so but I doubt it, next year is HIS year though I can feel it f/f- Hill will make the All-Star game
Fiction: Last year he made it becuase fans were happy that he was healthy, this year i dont think that will happen. Fact or Fiction: Dwight Howard will have an amazing year, and become more important to the team then Hill is.
Fiction: Dwight might get more important and might even match Hill's PpG numbers but Hill will still be more important to the team as the team captain and with his locker room presence. F/F: Jameer will either demand more minutes/getting more involved or a trade before the tradedeadline.
Fact. If Jameer only demands more minutes and becomes some kind of a cancer to the team, then I would considering trading him, but Jameer has a bright future ahead of him so Orlando has to be smart in his situation. Fact or Fiction- Francis is a good leader for the team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact or Fiction- Francis is a good leader for the team.</div> Fiction. He lacks leadership and he doesn't seem like he has the personality to lead a team. Fact or Fiction: DeShawn Stevenson will play a big role this season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TwinTowers:</div><div class="quote_post">f/f- Brian Hill was a good idea</div> Fact. The hiring of Brian Hill was a smart move by our front office because Hill has had a successful career as a coach here in Orlando. He led the Magic to many winning seasons and will hopefully have the same affect on our team this season. He also brings back memories to older Magic fans and that should help increase ticket sales and bring back some of our lost fans. I think this was an all around great signing and we will see how it all plays out. Fact or Fiction: The Magic will trade Steve Francis before the trade deadline.
Fact He has shown that he is unhappy ever since they got rid of mobley and I can only see it going downhill for him. The magic might also want to clear some cap and trade him for an expiring contract or maybe they can make a deal with boston for pierce. a change of scene could help francis and pierce. Fact or Fiction Dwight Howard will be the 2nd or 1st option on offense this upcoming season
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TwinTowers:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact- I believe he will be 2nd option f/f- Pat Garrity will make more than 100 threes this year</div> Fiction. He isn't going to get the oppurtunity to make 100 threes. With Tony Battie, Kelvin Cato and Dwight Howard all taking minutes away from Pat, it will be hard for him to even make 50 threes. Last season, he only made 49 three pointers. With Kelvin Cato is healthy, expect less playing time for Garrity which means less shots. Fact or Fiction: Jameer Nelson will start over Keyon Dooling on opening day.
Jameer will start opening day. If Dooling starts it's only because they looked at height before they looked at probable success. Jameer will prove himself to be the best pg on the team early on in camp IMO. Fact or Fiction: Dwight Howard and Jameer will be like a lesser version of Stockton and Malone eventually.
Fiction Grant Hill has been injured for quite a long time and he was out last season for a little bit too. I wouldnt be surprised if he missed 20 games. Fact or Fiction Dwight Howard will go down in Magic History as the leading scorer, rebounder, and blocker.
Fact, he will unless he bolts like Shaq did F/F It was a good sign for the Magic to get Brian Hill back
