Yes it does. I know Antoine Walker's game more than any Laker fan can even pretend to, and anybody that says that Antoine Walker was good clearly doesn't understand the game of basketball.

Seriously, if you want to call him "slightly above average", I'll give you that. But anything more than that is a stretch.

Those 2000-2003 teams had one good, legitamite all-star, Paul Pierce. Antoine put up the numbers he did for two reasons. A) He averaged like 600 three-point attempts a year, and managed to hit a third of them. B) Someone had to be the other option. Who else was going to get the ball if Pierce was incapacitated, Eric Williams? Kedrick Brown? No, Antoine was the only other decent player on the team (besides Kenny Anderson for a while, but Kenny wasn't a scorer), and he got the shots that Pierce didn't. That simple.

Dude, I was talking about your comment on Paul Pierce not Antoine Walker.

I'd like some insight though since you guys watch every C's game like we see every Laker game. So from what you've seen in the past year or so, is PP top 5 worthy? If not, is he at least top 5 perimeter?

illmatic, I believe Thrilla was commenting about my post. He was trying to undermine my reputation in the Lakers forum and make me look like a noob :ghoti:

IMHO, Pierce might scratch top 5 perimeter. He has Kobe, LeBron, Wade, and Paul ahead of him, and there's probably a couple of other guys he's pretty even with.

I'd have Pierce at #3 just behind Kobe and LeBron. These three players can beat you anywhere on the court.

He doesn't do it consistently enough to warrant #3. Plus CP3 does it all as well at a higher level as far as Perimeter players are concerned.

Edit- Didn't know you were just talking about SGs-SFs.

Well if we open it up to include point guards, Pierce certainly falls out of the top 5 for me.

    Haha.

You wouldn't put Nash, Paul, DWill ahead of Pierce?

I think Ginobili should also be in the discussion he's an amazing scorer.
