Nice win but I'm still pissed that Monty conitnues to put Dunleavy at PF while he plays HORRIBLY. Ike was rewarded with less than a minute tonight, how can you expect him to contribute more when his PT is so inconsistent? Murphy did a great job on the glass tonightand J-Rich carried the team like a superstar should but again, why weren't we going to him the entire 4th quarter? Fish's numbers look good but he was throwing away possessions like crazy down the strectch, how about thew time where he left the ball at half court? Nice win but extremely sloppy, only difference between tonight and other nights is that we hit out FTs.

Also forgot about Murphy. 20 rebounds is damn good. I can't complain at least we won. Here is to hoping that Dunleavy does well so some sucker will want him in the offseason maybe? Nah, I'm not that down on Dunleavy, but we need a better answer at SF than Pietrus or Dunleavy. Man...

or perhaps a shooting guard playing small forward with Jrich playing like a forward at guard.

While Dunleavy shot well from the field tonight, he still can't hit his open jumpers.

    Also,

Foyle played 19 mins had 2 pts and 3 boards and 1 block

Biedrins played 21 mins and got 8 points and 7 boards and 2 blocks, not to mention that crucial loose ball he caught to give to JRich

We'd probably cast even more bad shots and lack rebounding. Paul Pierce is awesome, but he's got some stretches where its like "stop shooting!"

Luckily, Dun doesn't dominate the ball or cast more ill advised shots than D-Fish. Dun gets open looks, but he's not even close sometimes. D-Fish is gutsy but I guess somebody has to keep trying to score, I just wish it wasn't the point guard having to do it. Also, Don't get me wrong if we had Paul Pierce instead of Jrich, I'd be happier. I wouldn't say I'd trade Jrich though unless Pierce was going to be a good fit with Baron. Jrich is quite the soldier though. He'd probably be good on any team and he's humble and he steps up. Free throws and ballhandling is something that Pierce posesses over Richardson, plus he's a better defender, so that's why I value Pierce quite a bit as a SG/SF.

Also Dunleavy does a few nice things, but man I'm suprised at how poorly he shoots. They're just not even close.

Oh no. You don't have to worry about that. He'll make them when it counts. He'll be playing with his hometown crowd. True dat.

I know the perfect solution to fix Dunleavy's problem, show him this:

Well Pierce is certainly playing better under a system where they don't jack 3's as the primary offensive weapon.

Hey I looked up Jrich's stats and he's shooting 39% on threes. Damn. And he's taken quite a lot.

Do they have one for Foyle on how to catch? Unfortunately all this stuff is coordination and also doing things in rhythm with the proper shooting mechanics without thinking about the shot itself.

If you think about the shot and make adjustments to what you naturally do, you'll miss. But if you shoot it naturally (as in what is comfortable for you) with good form without thinking about it, you'll sink it. Besides the shooting motion and the release, a lot of it's also in the legs. Shooting coaches advocate that you take your shots with a short jump so as you get tired, your shooting technique doesn't wear out when your legs start to. If you can hit off the dribble, through slight contact or off balance while being blindfolded by a defender, you da man! I've seen Dunleavy hit quite a few difficult shots, but his easiest ones of the games that he takes, are 3 or 4 of wide open looks he just can't seem to hit.

I'm still bummed they gave away the houston and utah game. They'd be right in the thick of the playoff race. But I think the Kings are going to make it when it's a ll said and done.

Good win tonight though. J-rich was clutch and hit his ft. If he hit them consistently, he's a definite all-star.

I was impressed with Darko. I had never seen him play. Guy's huge. That would be an awesome lineup with Darko and Biedrins at PF and C.

He's like a more polished Biedrins with range. I was hoping the Warriors would trade for him before the deadline, but Mullin didn't try for him. Seems Biedrins and Darko get along, I saw them talking and smiling a bit at the foul line. I think Darko and Zarko are from the same country. Would've been another trio of 7 foot euros haha.

Yeah, I saw that too. That would definitely be good chemistry wise for the team.

Hah, yeah, I remember the good old days with Skita, Zarko and Biedrins. Seems like only a year ago when the Zarko was making shots, Biedrins throwing down dunks, Skita was cheering them on and the warriors were winning.

The Magic are a pretty good team though. They got a nice future with Darko, Howard, and Nelson. Besides any win is a good win in my opinion. Still counts as one in the win column. [IMG]

I slept through the 2nd half and they won... I was at the Grizzlies game and watched the last 10 losses live (I sometimes tivo them). I think I'm gonna skip Friday's game and see if in fact it is me watching that jinxes the team.

Well he's right in a way, Magic aren't that hot and they aren't a team we normally face since they are in a different conference. But Gohn glad you feel glad. We beat the Magic in a game where we statistically don't do well on the glass, we don't shoot better than 40%, we don't move the ball, we don't hit our free throws. Yet I can't help but feel sorry for ourselves that we're here giving ourselves a pat on the back because we're grateful for a win.

I'm just not optimistic because we came off some seriously frustrating losses and we haven't proven we're ready to make a big run against our own conference opponents. Anything can happen though and I guess we should be glad to see some improvement if for only one game against an Eastern conference team.

We should re-seed! Put the Warriors in the East Atlantic!
