    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4life:</div><div class="quote_post">"Will to win" is measured by how many times you can depend on a player to come thru in the clutch. How many times a player can hit an INCREDIBLE shot or make consecutive plays down the stretch to give his team a chance to win. With that said, MJ is only player I know that did that consistently. Or maybe Reggie Miller, but Reggie was mostly offense. Kobe will not only hit a game winner in ur face, but he'll shut you down on defense. And he's currently the best at that.
    </div>
    Wrong.

    Will to win is not measured by how many times you hit an incredible shot.
    When sometimes I play, I want to win REALLY BAD. I want to hit that clutch shot REALLY BAD. But, I dont make it. I have the WILL to win, but I just dont come through. Kobe has skills to go with his will to win that make him succesful, but someone else might have more will to win than Kobe does... but just doesn't come through too often.

    Ur definiton of "WILL" is a little left field. Everytime you see somebody make a GREAT play and hear the announcer say something afterwards about they're "will" to win that's what I'm talkin about. WILL is what seperates the average from the great. It's another word for heart, in which Kobe has down to a tee.

    we're not trying to deny that Kobe has will, but there are other players with "will" also....Bron and Wade just to name a couple........and there is no way to prove that Kobe's will is greater than those two or any other player.

    Swell. Define one abstract, undefined term with another.

    Stop whining....if it's serious, make a thread that'll get half the attention this one got.

    Positive attention, not negative attention, though.

    I'm still waiting for a first intelligent post from you where you actually use proof instead of bias speculation to back up an argument.

    Durvasa oftentimes states what he thinks, and then gives indepth statistics to explain why.

    lol usually I just go straight to what I think. Giving the statistics and information to explain why takes more time that merely stating one's opinion.

    Stats are only "relevant" to you when they support your argument. And I use the term "argument" very loosely.

    No, he throws out statistics but doesn't pay enuff attention to the actual game.

    I'm gonna have to ask you guys to stick to the topic (which is originally about Kobe and the olympics). If you can't do that, the thread will be closed. If you want to discuss will to win, "clutchness" or anything else like that, start a new thread for it.

    The only thing that stops most of you from agreeing with me is ur personal hatred for Kobe. Why you'd personaly hate somebody you've prolly never met baffles me. But if some u could maybe put ur emotions aside and think basketball, you'd fully comprehend where I'm coming from.

    It's more then Kobe

    they needed a bit more then the amazing Kobe, if they had garnet and shquile oneal nobody would score more then 60-65 points against them, the team was to offensive and the D was horrible
