I have to agree with you Rock4life. Kobe would have made the difference out there. He's had a great year and I'm surprised he didnt win the MVP. But I don't think we needed lebron, wade, melo, and all of them to win the gold. If you look at Greece, they dont have any nba players whatsoever. All we need is players that know each other very well and have good chemistry and it shouldn't be a problem.

Obcourse, ur right. It's not about talent though. It's about the will to win. Kobe has this down better than anybody in the league, as far as the will to hit big shots, make stops etc....Wade has something similar, but Kobe has perfected it.

What was the reason for Kobe not being on the team? I would like to think that Kobe could of bailed them out but look how many superstars they had they just obviosly didn't have what it took as a team I don't think Kobe would have helped that much.

Bring back Kobe and run the US team like the 2003 Lakers with Dwight Howard instead of Shaq</div>

ur forgetting something..... the 2003 lakers didnt win the championship like they were supposed to.

Once again, I dont think the Team USA should be filled up of superstars. It should be filled up with team players, some leaders.

Having so many superstars doesn't work out right for USA.

lol, that's about as ambiguous as you can get. Will to win? How do you measure such vague quality? And how can you "perfect it" if it isn't even a tangible skill?

Kobe's "will to win" got a 99 rating in NBA Live 07. Lebron and Wade were only in the mid 80's.

Yea, that's what's wrong with NBA Live. Too arcadey and not enough realism. 2K7 has his "will to win" dead on. And all of Kobe's ratings go up by 30 when he's put on Team USA.

It's a shame Kobe isn't a soldier, because he would have "willed" the US Army to victory in Iraq by now.

Kobe's "will to win" rubbed off on his defense lawyers (did I go too far?).

    Superman's weakness isn't kryptonite. It's Kobe's "will to win."
