And Dame has been heavily invested in the process so far, which I guess could be a smokescreen but it sure seems like Dame is into it.
My biggest fear with him is his competetive drive and mental makeup. He made NBA level moves with impeccable footwork at age 16. There's a clip of a game from his sophomore yr when he dropped 58pts in HS that is jaw dropping. But he and his handlers ducking playing at every opportunity is worrisome. What are they trying to hide? You compare that to guys like Mathurin/Davis/Murray who built up their stocks by playing.... It's night and day.
It concerns me because listening to that beat reporter, it smacks of Ben Simmons just a bit. Could be a real issue. But he was saying that he thinks Sharp should go somewhere that’s good at developing talent and I couldn’t think of a better place than with Dame.
Blazers will be lucky if Sharpe drops to them. He has infinite upside. I think the Blazers draft Daniels at 7 and trade him. Darkhorse is Sharpe.
More likely that he goes 4 than 10. I think it's impossible that he'll be around at the 10th pick. New Orleans has no urgent need and will take Sharpe if he's still around at the 8th pick. If Portland keeps their pick, I can't see us letting Sharpe go to New Orleans unless Keegan Murray is still available.
Here's a summary of the voting so far - Interesting that this forum thinks the guy that's the biggest unknown is the most likely to be drafted by the Blazers.
I don't think most of the people posting in this thread actually think we'll draft someone at 7. The rules of this thread made it likely that the results of your data collection wouldn't make much sense.
I still want Ochai but he will likely go later than 10th so I’m not expecting us to draft him. I’ll be keeping an eye on him next season.
