I decided a few months ago that I wanted to upgrade my bathroom as it was fairly bare and dull with nothing on the walls or anything even though I’ve lived here for 2 years. Decided I’d start with adding smart led lighting, and giving it a new color to accommodate my preference. Then I saw this video on YouTube and thought it would be cool to make something similar to fill up the unused space in the middle of the counter. I’m doing it in stages, and soon I’ll start working on the interior of it. Not entirely sure what I want it to look like yet or what plants I want to use. But it’s going to be similar in the sense that it’s going to have a waterfall (already bought a pump for it) and I am going to put fish in it. It has been a fun project to think about and work on so far. I’ll post more pictures here as it comes along. Bonus “reading material” picture, because it’s there for it!
I’m a fairly messy individual, but I’m getting better as I get older. I’m learning the trick is to like... stop places from being super messy before they are super messy; which isn’t always easy. I have to remind myself that the clothes hamper isn’t the floor. Plus after like 28 years I learned things aren’t just going to walk to the garbage can, nor is the garbage can going to walk to you (yet... “hey siri, summon urg the trash overlord”).
I have never met another man who didn't think a rug around the toilet was a stupid idea thankfully, my wife never thought that was a good idea either. However, one time she did get one of those fluffy toilet lid covers and put it on. But I discovered rather quickly that you had to hold the damn lid and keep it from falling while pissing. The cover would not allow the lid to stay up. That was awkward but it was only awkward once because I tore it off and said "never again!"
So all the clutter on counter goes into a see thru glass box to showcase the clutter in one spot? What do you use the drawers & cupboards for then?
Haha, they aren’t completely full - but they’ve got “clutter” items and towels/TP in them. I’m hoping it actually makes the space it takes up seem bigger by appearing as a small scale model of a bigger area.
We have two rugs in our toilet room. Yes, we have a room for our toilet in the master bath. My feet are constantly getting tangled in it. My wife waits on my hand and foot so who am I to complain about a couple of damned useless rugs in our tiny toilet room? Other than the two rugs around the toilet, our master bath really is perfect. I've got a large walk in shower with a solid glass door that is very very firm. We've got a jet tub and six grab bars, two in the tiny toilet closet and four in the shower that help me not to fall down. Two sinks on a very roomy counter with lots of mirrors.
Have you ever used a bidet? We once rented a hotel room with a toilet closet and bidet. Really, really awkward. I always shower after using the toilet.
