I don't think the police are trained to handle it properly, and I don't think a lone officer should be initiating a confrontation for any reason other than a traffic violation, which he will leave rather than escalate. I do not think this is current policy any where let alone all over the country. If it were, then this guy is guilty of murder. Since it is not, the policy is wrong and the cop in not responsible for bad policy. My guess is, since I do not know what caused the cop to fear, he is guilty of poor judgement and Manslaughter due to poor judgement. Perhaps his supervisors are also for not having good policy and putting a cop with poor judgement on the street. Spot on Mags, don't want any drug dealing cops anywhere.
